Lots of disappointed Sony fans getting defensive here it seems to me. Look, imho, Demons souls, whatever you think of the graphics, is essentially a corridor hack n' slash. The PS5 should be able to do better with this type of game. Already in a short space of time we have had a PS5 game anticipated to be native 4K, but turning out to be upscaled, but that doesn't matter because...and now, a game that really should be capable of supporting RT, isn't because....And It's no use ...

Lets be logical for a moment. Sony, this generation, has outsold Xbox by a big margin. Nobody in their right mind is going to expect those fans to shift loyalty. So on that basis alone Sony should dominate again. Of course, as I've expressed several times before, a single box company will increasing struggle in the competing with more flexible options as we move forward.

We all know what they are suggesting, and it happens to be true, imho. If, and I stress if, you choose to play on the Xbox ecosystem, you will be in control of when, where, and most importantly, with what device you choose to play on. It's the future of the industry, and also the very reason why Sony is in partnership with MS in regards to cloud gaming services. I've said this before, and I'm sure I'll say it again and get downvoted, but I can see a future where Sony,MS and Nin...

Now I'm just waiting for confirmation on delivery!

I could be incorrect here, but I honestly think the majority that expressed an opinion on this wanted @60 over resolution. At least that's the impression I got. Sort of give us @60fps, not bothered about 4K.

Couldn't agree more.I don't think either system will be able to maintain native 4K@60 on all games. Though, that does mean the SX would still have a power advantage for other things, if both systems used upscaling. That's also true isn't it?

Story telling 101. Don't switch between too many protaganists. - It kills the willingness to invest time in any single character, and destroys immersion, leaving the reader confused and disinterested.

"Most of its issues are a consequence of the Xbox One’s underwhelming capabilities, and not bugs or live service design choices." - As always. Sometimes we just need to let go, and in the case of the Xbox1 it should be done out of a window on the 30th floor!

@alex65507 Clearly, the article suggests otherwise.

@thesoftware730.
Maybe, but you aknowledge a difference exists.

The upscaling really shouldn't be an issue for anyones enjoyment of the game, but again, the fact one is upscaled and the other isn't, does suggest that the talked about power discrepency is very real. Having said that, it is strange that some of the same people claiming there is no difference in power, and that 3rd party games will be the same on both platforms now fallback to, well the difference actually doesn't matter, because.....

Personally, I'm expecti...

Regardless, how many gamers actually buy software based on a Metacritic score?

1919d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

By the same token, if you keep delaying a game you may lose points with some elements of the player base, and possibly even preorders. CD Project, are one of the very few developers that seem to maintain a trust with the gaming community, and rightly so imo. So while I'm sure it'll be worth the wait, I'm not sure achieving a higher Metacritic score should be the determining factor for it's release.

The good news in all of this as I see it, is Sony is sure to have something in place to take advantage of the PSVR2 when it does finally arrive. If VR is really going to develop it's potential then it needs the likes of Sony to keep pushing the technology forward. No rush, just make it good

And they have been awesome for an even longer time than they have been remastered.Played all of these first time round, along with Monkey island series . A time when point n' click adventures where at their pinnacle, and when eight or sixteen colours on screen was considered bleeding edge graphics. I'm not sure if a modern audience will embrace them in the same way today, but I sure hope they do. Maybe I'll have to drag out my old DX66 based DOS BOX for a replay of the orignals.

Damn it, not another one. I really love the look of this game, but hopefully it doesn't effect the games art style, which looks stunning to me.

Consoles arguments aside for a moment, this controller is a moment of genius from Sony. They have taken something as simple as the humble controller, which until now has pretty much been taken for granted and unchanged for so long, and they have evolved it into much, much, more. I've never been a fan of Sony controllers, but with the physical redesign, and these unique features, I have to say it. I wish the Xbox had the same. I truly believe the haptic feedback, and the new audio system ha...

In console hardware sales, at the moment, yes, that's fair comment imo.
But if you seriously think that nothing ever changes, then you really need to keep your head down in that hole you seem to be in. No disrespect intended.
