S/W doesn't brick H/W. With maybe the only exception being firmware which can, but these days there's usually a way to revert the H/W back to factory settings and recover.Usually! But a game 'bricking' a system? Don't think so. I think the term is misused on many occasions
To early to tell how thing will develop moving forward, but at this time PS5, is overall outperfoming XSX. That bodes well for PS5, I'm impressed so far.
I commented on this a few weeks ago, and at that time I hadn't experienced any problems whatsoever with quick resume. Since, I have had very rare problems, but considering the number of games - mostly old ones:) that I've been playing I can't really complain. As an example, I've been playing Oblivion! Yeah, I know, but believe it or not it's actually almost playable on the console now, especially when transitioning from area to area is almost instant. Anyway, yeah a few is...
I think it depends very much on what your mental health is like to begin with. The only activity conclusively proved to improve mental well being in practically every case is physical exercise.
Illegal, no. Imoral, most definitely imo.
The PS5 and SX console are fantastic consoles for $500. Are they worth double that? No, I don't think so. But like anything, supply and demand can artificially inflate market price. If people buy from scalpers and outlets don't try to stop scalpers, I'm not sure what can be done.
I'll say the same thing I always say with such articles. Sure, okay, whatever you want. I'm all for inclusion, but you have to make these things optional/choices. Don't force someone to play as a male/female/LBGQ etc. Let people choose. Include without exclusion if you follow.
As usual comments seem to be one side or the other - you know what I mean.Personally, I'm split on this. Dual sense is an innovative design and it undoubtly does make an effort to move gaming control forward. I really don't see how people could argue that much. Of course, we have to see how well it's adopted by devs. I mean after all, I thought the touch pad and inbuild speaker of DS4 was a great idea and that didn't go as well as I'd hoped.
For me, the ...
It will be for sure. And I'm pleased to see Sony responding to market changes with things like Gamepass alternatives. I know many fans won't like it, but it really is needed.
More features good. Doesn't make sense for anyone to disagree with this.
There are a few videos on YouTube relating to these specific models. Clearly they are the preferred choices currently available. However, I believe the problems come when using things like VRR with HDR combined. These features don't seem to play nicely with each other. This idea of combinations of features causing problems seems to be a common thread if you watch enough videos. Please check the videos out and draw your own conclusions. But again, I believe this has to do more with early ad...
Wifi 6 is better than the Xbox offering for sure. And you are correct it can't be patched in. However, Wifi is not a method most would use to connect there system to the internet anyway. For the very simple reason ALL wifi versions ultimately operate in 'half duplex' mode due to the nature of how the protocol works. So yes, PS5 has much better Wifi, but for all intents and purposes Wifi shouldn't be used anyway. Certainly not for gaming. Not arguing your point buddy, just point...

"Lol I need to research stuff? Usb c to c is much faster then usb a. At least get facts right before disputing."
I think you'll find the PS5 has 3x superspeed(10Gbps) ports. 1xUSB 'C' and 2xUSB 'A'. With no difference in performance whether type A or type C. Nothing personal here, it's just what it is.
Yeah, USB 'C' relates only to the connector type not the performance. May want to research stuff.
An almost irrelevant point I know, but HDMI bandwidth is Gbps not GBps. Still, what's a factor of 8 between friends :)
Sounds reasonable. One piece of S/W isn't sufficent to ascertain anything conclusive. More testing with proper measuring techniques and equipment needed I would suggest.
I was so worried about this happening to me, because I'd had problems in the past. My Sx was being delivered by UPS so I felt a little more confident, but then a plain white van pulled up outside my home instead of the usual brown UPS van you would expect. I insisted the driver wait until I had checked all the contents. I suggest others do the same. At least you can film on moby while driver is there.
For several months now I have been trying to make people aware of the issues with HDMI 2.1 feature set and implementations. In fact, even as recently as yesterday I posted on this subject on N4G site. Whether this particular finding is a real issue or just a temporary glitch, remains to be seen.Clearly it depends on whether the issue is chipset related or firmware related. I'm sure we'll know soon enough. It may even turn out to be the test equipment or software measured!
...
No, they don't fully support hdmi2.1. Please remember, a manufacturer is not obliged to incomperate all features in order to certify a TV as being 2.1 compliant. Also the implementations may not be as outlined in the full HDMI 2.1 specifications.
And still I couldn't get one!
