I would suggest it's the number of subscribers that make it sustainable. From PC to mobile, you can subscribe to this service. However, if MS doen't make it compelling by releasing AAA games at a fair rate then it could be a problem for them. Hence why they purchased Bethesda I think.

Without a doubt the Gamepass service is brilliant imo. But although the flexibility is there to play where ever, when ever, it just doesn't have the must have titles at the moment. Maybe in a year or two it will be more compelling. It's not, imo, overated as such, but it is lagging a bit behind it's own hype.

I'm a little reluctant to comment , because sometimes people don't want to know the facts. So I'll say in advance if you strongly disagree with me then please do your research. There's plenty of material out there that will confirm what I say, and it's simply this;
There are zero TV's currently available that fully support the HDMI 2.1 feature set. There are some that may appear to come close, but usually these are tricking you by listing many features, but no...

I tried this on gamepass for PC, and it's a great example of the genre. However, I have one major issue with it that prevents me from buying. Even early on there are missions that are time limited.A strategy game with time limits to complete missions. Isn't that a bit of a contradiction? Anyway, great game, just not for me.

Makes sense for this game I think. I have never played this game, because I know it's too hard for me and not a genre I'm into. But everything I've ever read points to the difficulty level being at the heart of the game. Usually I'm all for lots of options, but maybe not for this particular title.

Fair comment. I did read the list, but must have missed something.

I'll take that advice. Thanks.

I'll go with the developer on this one. There may be caveats that he hasn't mentioned, but I don't see why he would mislead. He obviously believes what he is saying.

Apologies for any offense. Definitely not intended. But why is not okay to want to play as a man, but it is okay to want to play as a women. I don't understand that. Please explain.

Reading the headline I decided to test myself and see if I could guess the titles nominated, but to be honest other than Fight sim I failed. Having looked at the list now, I completely agree with every nomination with perhaps the exception of Wastelands 3, which I played, but didn't rate. However, MS nominations? Okay, whatever.

Okay, so I actually asked for a refund on this game and was denied.
My problems were;
1) I was forced to play as Kait
2) I purchased this title as a digital download for full price, because I prefer to buy my games. My friend and co-op partner decided to download on gamepass. He actually received the XP boost bonus with the game while I didn't!

Okay number one.
I applaud The coalition for including Kait as a main, if not the main prot...

Not so in my experience. I have tested all of my BC titles with quick resume and every single one have worked. Now I'm not saying there isn't any issues at all, but it's a minority. I was one of the lucky ones who received a SX on release day, so I'm talking from experience with a retail unit here.

Unfortunately this is a nonsense article imo. He really is trying to make Smart delivery sound like a bad thing. It simply isn't. At least with SX you can run BC games from external HDD, there's no problem with cross gen saves, and a SX/SS games don't default to running as an Xbox one game. The same can't be said of the competition.Oh and there is external SSD storage available right now, if you want it. Sounded like a very skewed article to me.

Yeah, you're not gonna get stable native 4k/60 on either machine, and personally, I've never thought that. However, watch this space for the most stable and closest in the coming year.
I don't know if you've heard the expression, 'One swallow doesn't make a summer,' because that's what applies here imo.

Yeah, not convinced this is so extraordinary. It's another QOL feature sure, but not the best, that's quick resume imho.

@Neogamer232.
It is a great feature on PS5, but quick resume is even better imo. Not only does quick resume bypass loading screens it practically bypasses loading. Sure if you are really changing games a lot then it's nice to skip loading screen, but developers will find other ways, that's for sure.

First point I agree, second point not. If TF's don't make a difference then all the PC elites wouldn't be buying the one with more T F's. Not the only metric for sure, but not irrelevant either.

Of course, you realise that PC's use split RAM, right? The slower clocks imho, will turn out to make the SX more stable overall - I'm talking system stability here not system speed.

Greater bandwidth on GPU memory where it really counts, Direct ML for future DLSS type operations. SOC RT, Embedded VRR and VRS and compression block for I/O. And lets not forget the VA as a whole. Those are reasons too.

Look, currently, until a patch comes for SX, the...

Most of the more technicals among us know the real reason for the difference -the GDK's and all, but hey, I'm happy for the faithful to have their fun. At least for the short time it lasts.

The ergonomics of the Xbox controller is still, imo, far superior to anything else available. Of course, the innovative features of the dual sense are to be commended, but that's a different thing.

I've never been a big fan of the Xbox UI, and I'm still not. Having said that, SX/SS versions are deffinitely next gen in terms of speed. My biggest frustation with the last gen offering was lag. On SX it's a snip, very fast. And then there's the new features like quick resume which really do make switching back and forth between games effortless.
Much more work to do, but also much improved.
