I can write an app in 5 min that'll "maximize" your CPU...and won't do anything.
I think he meant HDD not HD as in High Definition. The original xbox had a standard HDD and now it's optional, an accessory.
He's right, why would someone that owns a Wii go out and buy a PS3 for Move...but that's beside the point, Sony isn't aiming at current Wii owners...it's those that want both!
I'm a hardcore gamer and have kids...I wish I hadn't already bought a Wii!
GTA4 was great on PC if you could run it...with the stupid memory restrictions removed, it was actually pretty good...granted you still need a controller for driving.
I believe RDR runs on the same engine, if that's correct, I don't see why they wouldn't do it.
Peter is right in saying it'll be bigger, it will, but Natal splits the console in two, Natal games and traditional games...the Move seems to be blending the two to a certain degre, possibly giving you the option to use it or not on new and existing games.
Does anyone know if Natal will have some sort of implementation on existing games?
To this guy this is an investment, the previous guy both it for 10k and sold it for 70k...the egg in question is about to hatch something...he's betting that whatever hatches will be worth more than 70k.
"He also had some worries around latency during gameplay."
Was also a concern he had, which I also share.
I hope they don't change the game, but if it's huge sale numbers that they want, then maybe selling their soul to the corporate devil is the way to go...sure it won't be Dead Space, but try telling that to an exec swimming in a pool of cash.
That being said, It took me forever to finish that game mainly because of the horror...it's not that I don't like it, but I usually play video games to relax (yes, I find MW2 relaxing, it gets the stress out). Dead Space not so much I don't f...
ok, if you say so!
amen to that.
BF2 rocks the socks of MW any day anyways.
Step 1 - go to Walmart
Step 2 - Buy new Xbox 360
Step 3 - Put old Xbox 360 in new 360 box
Step 4 - Bring it back to Walmart
Step 5 - Create a new account and play.
That is all.
Of course it will be more of the same...why take a risk like that when you don't have to...Yet!
Master Chief is Microsoft's Mario...They'll milk it for all it's got, can't wait to play Halo: Spartan Bowling on Natal.
"To Valve, releasing L4D for the PS3 is almost as bad as releasing it for the Wii. ALMOST."
Valve would love to be able to release L4D, L4D2 and such on PS3(with par quality)...it's just not possible using the Source engine...they would have to invest massive amounts of time and money to do it...with that in mind, it's true the PS3 community is not big enough.
Now going out there and saying stuff like they did is just poor PR. Or comments taken out of cont...
L4D2 uses the aging Source engine designed before we even had multi-core processors in PCs, cannot be optimized properly (or cheaply) to work on PS3 (see orange box).
That is all.
I think that by "Learning curve for server browsing" they mean that you'll be able to browse servers based on skill level or something like that.
It makes me sad to see a great developer like IW become so arrogant.
wow, just wow, I just had to post how repulsed I am reading some comments here, I lost two family members recently to cancer and I see exactly where he is coming from.
some sad sad internet tough guys on this site...
yeah, the attach rate for accessories is double the PS3, like that's a good thing...this is so funny cause we all know that you need to buy lots of them to even come close to what a PS3 comes with.
wireless Ethernet, HDD (from MS only), cooling fans (RROD), rechargable battery packs.
Credit goes mostly to the developer and not the console, don't get me wrong, I love my PS3, but the game would have been just as good as a 360 exclusive, granted maybe less graphically impressive, but still extremely good. Good job Naughty Dog.
I have very little hope in Natal, but I've been surprised in the past, Wii anyone? I think it's exciting to see what kind of games they can come up with, it'll obviously be for the casual crowd but you never know, there will likely be a new genre coming out of this.
One thing is certain, it will sell, MS is betting the farm on that tech.
Sony will drop the price of the PS3 next fall when the move tags along, there will likely be a new Move bundle SKU...let's assume 299$ with a move controller and eyetoy. There will be an extensive lineup of games, most will probably be PSN games that are ported from Wii 3rd parties (this is obvious to any developer that has titles on the Wii).
I would put my money on a Wii price drop around that time as well to counter the Move, Edited: and Natal. let's say 149$.
