Wait till you have kids...
I'm in Canada, seeing a Halo ad every 15 min...haven't seen a PS3 add in a long time, let alone a Move ad.
The license is not transferable on PC because they have no easy way of ensuring that you didn't keep your copy installed...that's on PC, on cosoles, the license is the disk, if you don't have the disk then you can't play, this ensures that if you transfer your license, you won't have a second working copy of the same license.
We have nothing to worry about...
Sega would like to have a word with you.
@ji3200: Dude stop screaming...
Actually, the consumer pays for the Windows license not the hardware maker...it's included in the price.
MS could not pass the BD license fee down to the consumer as that would make games on XBox more expensive than PS3.
"On XBL it's facebook/twitter/x-game chat/video chat/ESPN and on PS+ it's Qore/exclusive demos/free games/game sales."
You're missing the most important difference...PS3 let's you play online without PSN+....which you can't without LIVE Gold.
But like you said, to each is own, if you feel that it's worth it to you then more power to you...I wouln'd pay for LIVE Gold or PSN+ for that matter.
It's called eBox and packs Kinect like motion controls. Sounds like a Chinese xBox and Kinect ripoff to me. I doubt this thing will make it outside of China but with 1.3 billion Chinese it doesn't need to.
@Cerberus2125
But he's not taking your bag of feces, he's merely making a copy of it without you losing anything cause that guy would not have paid a million $ for it, he feels the price is too high...
I don't condone piracy but his point is half good. Is it ok to play an emulated game that you can no longer buy anywhere new? I can't buy old arcade and atari games, am I stealing buy playing an emulated copy? Should we all just forget ab...
Move seems to have a better integration with the existing hardware and game library. Games on 360 will be either Kinect only or will only support it as Sixaxis type gameplay, if at all. Move on the other hand will be integrated in the type of games we know and love as well as innovative new games specifically designed for it.
Someone please wake me up when my iPhone can play real, full fledged AAA games, on a screen larger than my hand...oh right it never will cause it wouldn't be mobile...pointless article, they go hand in hand, not competing with each other.
I have an iPhone, a DS, a PS3, a Wii, a laptop and a PC...and I play games on each of them. I play different games on each, games on my DS and iPhone are mostly to pass time when traveling...Real gamers play full games on big screens.
This has nothing to do with Kinect, he uses a regular web cam and some third party software. It's just a "Look what I did, kinect could do this" video and as such also possible on PS3 and PC...Hardly a Kinect only feature...and a lame one at that.
That being said, I'm still eager to see what MS will come up with for FPS...we may all be surprised...or not.
Some people will always download their games, event if they were only a buck...the problem for people who know how these things are done, is that the only reason to go out of their way and pay for a game is to help developers. That in itself is very righteous.
I pay for my games because I like online games and I'm a legit person...but each time I buy a single player game, deep inside I know that I can get it for free very easily and probably sooner...thank god for Steam....
The victim shot at the robber. Does anyone else see an issue with shooting at someone in a public street?...I mean a bystander could easily have been hit...which to me seems like a bigger offense than stealing a used PS3...
The robber certainly learned something out of this...when robbing someone, shoot first.
Actually Atari did that in 1977 by creating the first real console that sold well. Before that gaming was on computers or weird 1st gen consoles and very much a niche market. Atari brought millions of non gamers to gaming because for the first time they could play on their TV...that was revolutionary.
Then Nintendo did that as well in 1983 (after the crash), bringing millions of new gamers and ex-gamers with 8 bit games and Mario on the memorable NES...having an expansive, ...
And as you can see it sure killed MS and Sony...point made thank you very much.
They already did, it's called Motion Plus and it tanked.
I like the iPad, I just can't get my head around the price of this thing...and playing games is not what I want it for.
The author dosen't know who Annie Lennox is...man I feel old right now.
On topic, Milo seems like a human nintendogs...I just don't know who this is intended for, little girls? not cute enough and boys are yuck! Parents? They have enough of their own kids (trust me) 15-35 males? Killing snails is not enough and poor Milo will only get tortured...
Who is this aimed at?
Take Lord of the rings which is at most 60$ (for all three movies) and lasts close to 12 hours (without bonus content) which is more than most SP games...I've watched those movies like 10 times each...the only games that I feel give me as much in return are Civilization games, RPGs and games with a strong multiplayer component like BFBC2.
In anycase movies and games are totally diffrent, movies are like riding in the backseat enjoying the scenery, gaming is like driving...
