They need those Bravia guys to do their ads or maybe they need those old ads from back that said good evening to the ladies and gentlemen, telling them they've seen and seeing is believing, then asking them if they want it or need it. =)
I'm hoping that picture isn't really the result of what happens to a 360 when running ME2. I would hate to have to play the game halfway thru just to get smoke coming out of my system and a potential fire.
And...........................
there were rumors, "leaked" pictures, speculations, and everything else about the possibility of the PS3 slim being announced soon and a price cut looooooooooooooooooooooong before speculation of a price cut for the Elite. =P
nah.. kotick's gonna come outta his closet and tell the media that his aggressive stance towards the Playstation brand caused Sony to cut the price down to $299, cuz well we all know how much an a$$ kotick is.
Sadly you have a lot of ignorant people that read into this crap and walk over to purchase a competitor's system because so and so journalist heard from someone else about the problems. Because he's a journalist he must also have credible sources. That's the way things go.
They had racing lines for awhile man.
Finally! Non-photomode shots. They look pretty good for a portable racer.
PCWorld's internal analysts agree with Carmack - Sony should release their next console first and call it the Sony FailStation. In order to win the next generation, they will have to price the console at $249.99 and ensure it's YLOD failure rate is close to 54.2%, but deny the facts when questioned by the media. Also, throw in some Error 8002A280 for good measure. Then when pressured, they need to give owners a 3 Year Warranty to show their appreciation for loyal consumers. If they don...
So I'm looking at your youtube link of the Forza 3 stage demo, and Dan says they were talking with the motor companies and working together to allow them to simulate rollover. I'm assuming this means they got the OK with other companies to allow damage to their vehicles.
Anyone got proof that Turn 10 signed a deal or got the OK from companies to allow vehicular damage? From what they're saying, it just seems to me like every other developer that's creating a "racing&qu...
In that case every other console racing game shouldnt' have damage because they've never gotten it done completely or realistically. =P
it seems that PD is trying to make it so the damages are very detailed, and that each individual part of the car can be damaged, break apart, and/or deform. Looks like they're not going to use the cheesy old method of damages where a damage texture is applied, or the Dirt method where pieces are deformed but interior engine pieces weren't detailed, or the other cheesy method where only certain pieces fall off.
Lookin good so far PD. Good job.
Maybe that's why they had their conference at a time when the majority of the US viewers would be sleeping.
I know a lot of people who have been putting off buying a console but are reconsidering because of this announcement of the new PS3 and the price point of $299.
For example, my cousin came over last week and told me he was looking into the PS3 because he heard rumors of a price cut and new revision. I told him it was possibly true but he should definitely wait and see what happens. I asked why he didn't want to get a 360. I told him it was affordable and has awesome games ...
Putting the Elite's hd to the Pro = updating a sku.
Phasing out the Pro and putting the Elite's sku to the Pro's price point and calling it a price cut = spin
I don't know about you guys but it's more like it's just a sku update. These editors and their articles about how it's a price cut feels more like spin to me.
Arcade sku w/ Pro harddrive @ $199 and Elite sku @ $299 = WIN
Just a couple hours til MS's conference starts.
Heh, I think it's okay for the Sony fans to cheer if they win a couple months of NPD sales figures. Afterall, the Xbox guys had to constantly tell them how much their games sucked because they couldn't sell as well as Halo 3, Gears 2, or L4D. Because apparently, sales figures mean a game is AAA or a console is #1, regardless if those numbers may be inflated.

Funny, wasn't it a Microsoft spokeswoman who said it was questionable to believe such numbers when she...
having preordered Forza 3, I'm eagerly anticipating this game and so I'm reading this posting on N4G, see the screenshot and click link. I get to that site and didn't bother reading the article yet because the title was first in-game screenshot. You know I want to see a real in-game screenshot and not those photomodes that I've been seeing everywhere. So I check out those pics and I'm thinking "damn they look really good even better than GT5's trailer." Then I read the articl...
I think they're going back to their old school PS logo and ditching the spiderman font because that's how a lot of people remember the brand and associate the PS logo font with Playstation. Even notice how the new commercials now have that funky sound at the end with the voice saying "Playstation" ? That's nostalgic. The old PS3 spiderman font commercials imo didn't make me feel like Sony was marketing a playstation product.
Someone should update that description. There isn't a powerbrick. IGN posted an unboxing video and no power brick. Power cable yes. Brick? No.
And I've seen more negative Sony articles from ArsTechnica in the past 3-5 months than I have seen from Kotaku. Oddly enough, Kotaku hasn't been full-force bashing Sony for some time... at least that's how I see it.
Isn't it easier playing 'breakout' with a controller? Move a bar up, down, left, right? I know that's not the point... especially for a 'breakout' designed for Natal, but Kudo said Natal's so simple everyone can use. Wouldn't traditional up, down, left, right controls be simpler?
