As much as I would like to say it's unreasonable for Sony to charge $249 for the PSPgo.... I must say.... Cnet's been pumping out a lot of pessimistic Sony articles lately haven't they... If they can't get hits for the Slim, get hits for the Go?

That's quite a spin you got there... but no, installs should not be required so my 360 can be quieter. In fact, I don't think it's quieter than my launch PS3 because I can definitely hear it more than my PS3 when I play Fable 2. And I really hope MS just do a firmware update and release a casing of that proprietary drive so we can slap any size hd into it. With my 20gigs I can only install Fable 2 atm. The other space is occupied by dlc and demos. Hell no am I deleting installed games...
Ya know I remember back before the Xbox was released, MS stated their intention of releasing a console was so that PC gamers could play PC games without having to bother with installation or ensuring that they met the minimum requirements to play the game. Now they just want a piece of the pie that is the console gaming business. Look what happened to PC gaming when the 360 came about.

hah yea it does look fake... but it's still better than just applying a damage texture. Oh and the hood pops up! How cool is that? lol I saw a video online the other day on one of those college humor sites, and a guy in a bmw convertible hit a pedestrian at maybe 50-60 mph. On the slow-mo, his hood popped up! FROM hitting a pedestrian!
^ Dude, the Xbox was just simply awesome for its time. I absolutely loved that thing. The PS2 had its good mix of games too but man last generation was probably the best time of gaming for a lot of us. This generation is just so sleezy.

Launch unit still very quiet even after hours of RE4. Not whisper quiet. But definitely not vacuum cleaner loud.
My PS3 has locked up several times but I haven't stumbled upon a YLOD yet. I also have never come across DRE problems w/ the PS2 or PS2slim. My friend's and exgf's PS2s never had problems either. Same here, but watching a dvd on the 360 thankfully isn't loud at all. I was surprised when I first got my launch PS3 - it was very quiet. I hear the newer [jasper] 360s aren't as loud as before. Heh i've experienced many car accidents up close & personal in my life, and from what I've encountered, pieces generally just fall off on the newer cars. Older cars tend to deform before giving up and having their pieces fall off. For example, I saw a really old couple driving a nicely maintained (but very old) truck. It's completely justifiable to purchase a 360 for Halo 3 & Gears of War 2 because you can't get those two exclusives on the PC.
