If you ever played Indigo Prophecy, you would know the developers focus heavily on characters and story over graphics. The graphics of the environments in Heavy Rain this time adds so much more immersion to the experience.
Now see, this game appeals to me more than Little Big Planet does. I tried that demo on the JPN store last night and yup! - not my cup of tea. After playing Indigo Prophecy, Heavy Rain seems like it'll be another story masterpiece. The great thing about HR this time is that even with the "QTEs", the game continues to progress if you fail at pressing button combinations. Ever played Ninja Blade on the 360? Fail a QTE and repeat the scene all over. Very annoying.
Yea I agree. The one thing I liked about the 360 when it first came out was the vast library of demos available for download. I wouldn't have bought games like batman aa or dirt 2 if it weren't for the demos, because before the demos I didn't even pay much attention to those games. But the demos were exciting enough to convince me to add those games to my collection. The same could be said about The Last Guy, PixelJunk games, and Super Stardust on PSN. I just wished the PSN would hav...
I've seen this game played at kiosks so many times and I never really touched it, because honestly I'm ignorant to its concept. It just doesn't appeal to me. As much as I want to see what it's all about (custom user generated content), I have a hard time justifying $59.99 on a title such as this. I'm hoping the demo will change my mind, but $59.99 is better spent on something else. No doubt I would pick up this title in a heartbeat if it were priced like Burnout Paradise and was a down...
*jokes*
I see it now.... the next big thing in Japan's pr0n industry would be the sequel to Final **** Fantasy. Except this time it will involve the cast from FFXIII. It'll go so well with that DMM service the PS3 has over there.
As a Mac owner, I have to say that Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo need to all approach Apple and kick those apples between its legs before they grow even larger. Love the OS, but can't stand those iPhone snobs.
"PSP's 607 games, DS' 3,680 and then iPod touch's 21,178"
Right. A majority of those 21k apps are shovelware.
Meh I get what you're saying, but PC racing simulators take the cake when it comes to wrecks and not being able to drive. I'm liking the damage in F3, but it seems from the videos I've seen on youtube and here, why is it every journalist drives with aesthetic damage on, but not actual physical? What a turn off! And excuse me, but what's the point of a journalist driving with some form of damage on when he's going to use the rewind button anyways? Defeats the purpose of having damage. ...
It's possible. On Joystiq they mention Sony releasing their voice recognition from SingStar and that hi-res image zooming technique into their new SDK for sony developers.
The article:

The actual videos:

As a Mac user strictly for Aperture & FC, I have to say that Microsoft isn't the only bully in town. There are a lot of Apple elitists out there, heck a bunch of them from AppleInsider, and they sure love those 'tard "I'm a Mac" commercials.
Now I also understand there are a lot of pro-PC users that are anti-Mac and just hate anything-Apple for no apparent reason. Most of the time they just hate the whole MacOSX haven't ever tried using it. Some of the times t...
I agree. For now I think with Win7's case [well in my situation and opinion], it'd probably be best for the avg consumer to hold off on a new computer loaded w/ Win7 or hold off on upgrading. Win XP is still kicking and from an article a few days ago, seems MS is happy market share of XP is dwindling. I remember when Vista wasn't out yet, there were many sites praising the preview builds and hyping the OS up. People would download the builds and check it out themselves. Low & behol...
I agree with you in some aspects, but there are a ton of "stupid" people out there... the ones that get themselves infected. If I could, I would like for those people to use a "friendly" version of Linux with just the bare essentials - Ubuntu on netbooks come to mind.
Like you said, if MS only released W7 with FF and adblock+/noscript & malwarebytes/spybot... things would be such a better world for us. Unfortunately, W7 will still be attacked and users...
You have to agree.... what Microsoft excels at the most is business marketing. They know how to effectively create an ad. Well, maybe not that Seinfield one. Xbox 360 for example. Instead of saying it's $299 now, they say "Now $100 off"
I don't know about you guys, but the words "Now $100 off" sounds more attractive to the average consumer than seeing "Now just $299" And I don't know how successful some of their marketing campaigns are......
That video on GTplanet is a poor representation of how head tracking would work in a racing game.
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
This guy uses a PC ir head tracking camera. Skim to 2/3rd of the video and he demonstrates it.
Yea the game does look good. Not sure about average. That's the PS3 screenshot though. Where are pics of the 360 version?
Nintendo just has to release another sleeper smash hit like Pokemon. Of course, pokemon's getting old now. But who knows! Millions of people were suckered into getting pokemon red, blue, yellow, green, silver, gold, ..........................
omg those videos are cracking me up. The kid, and then the old lady sounding like a wild chicken towards the end. Hahahaha. Somehow, if people are required to play Natal like that old crazy lady, we're gonna be seeing a lot of articles about neighbors calling 911 regarding the crazy screaming kid next door.
Looks horrid? Dirt? I don't get it. The game looks beautiful and the tires are amazingly detailed. F3 is looking really good.
Silly to compare these two games. There're different! Heck even the overall gameplay mechanic is different. In one you're going guns-in-blazing and the other you're being tactical and stealthy if you want. It's like comparing MGS4 to Gears of War 2 or comparing Ratchet to Halo. You can't compare games like that! They should at least compare games that have similar art/game design.
^ agreed. But hey where are those hardcore racer journalists that previewed/reviewed Race Pro!? I want to read how different it feels from Forza 2. I want to see videos of the other tracks - I've seen this and the le mans one. I'm hyped over the new livery editor, but I want vids of other tracks! October is still a long way from now and I want more visual teasing. These vids of the same tracks over and over again is like watching the same pr0n video over and over - if you get what ...
