maybe they haven't found a need to use voice recognition. Can you imagine reading the lines of a game just to progress? Or doing those silly little noises to the DSlite's mic just cuz the game said you have to in order to play? And have you tried voice-to-text software? I remember using DragonSpeak long long time ago and it was a horrible experience. I'm sure Microsoft have improved miles nowadays with their voice recognition in Vista but I still prefer typing.

^, but if you think about it... a lot of games nowadays ARE just the same game with better graphics. Sure you get a new feature here and there, but overall the gameplay is the same. FNR3 vs FNR4 ? I hope they come out w/ a demo on this one. The first one's battle system was so horrible. Love the art, couldn't stand the androgynous main character, but man the story and combat.... yuck. REALLY need a demo. I hope when they mean "unique battle system" they're not referring back to the first one's.

Hehehehe as much as I'll probably get NFS or rent it, I highly doubt it'll be better than Forza 3. Certainly can't be better than GT. I just browsed the gtplanet.net site and looked at the articles posted there. I was surprised to see quite a number of media coverage of GT such as races, 24 hrs of nurburgring, LeMans, Tanner Foust teaching Drifting 101 using GT5p, WRC Sebastian Loeb racing against a GTplanet forum goer, etc. Seems like GT has a much wider industry acceptance than Forza. ...
So in other words, if Forza 3 actually looked better than GT, that site shouldn't be trying to prove it to others. Cuz from how I see it, with just that one article about F3 being like real life, and the other article being a GT bashing one, it's quite obvious the site author's intention is to imply that Forza 3 is better than GT.

Interesting videos & some nice links here in this discussion. I have to say after watching the vids, I'll have to pick up Mass Effect 2, Forza3, and Conviction. Conviction just looks cool and the gameplay seems neat. They really made it feel like a Jason Bourne thing. ME2 and F3 just because I liked the previous iteration a lot. I got a Samsung N110 w/ the 93% keyboard and love it much. Get 8-9 hr battery life w/ wifi bt off and at the 3/8 brightness setting. About 7-8 same settings but with wifi on, and about 6 1/2 hrs with bluetooth on. It's portable and fits pretty much anywhere.
You get what you pay for and so you'll notice the build quality immediately compared to say Macbooks, ThinkPads, and Vaios. My only other gripe is the slow processor. Either the Atom is hurting it or from what I read,...

I have to agree with PharmD on this. There's no way you can handle like in the vid while on grass. Just google vids of it or youtube. Maybe even check out that Ferrari crash clip where the guy went over grass and had no control. Either sim mode was off or physics isn't really implemented yet but still, F3 it's supposed the definitive sim. Either way I'm still getting it. Kinda gets me that the idiot driver cheated his way GT-style into winning. What a nub.
Prettied up or not, it was still playing pretty smoothly. I have a feeling some idiot decided he'd have bragging rights to record and distribute that leaked version.
