I'm not sure how Netflix's streaming service is like since when I first tried out Netflix, I only used their dvd rental-by-mail service. Anyway, I'm hard of hearing and to me subtitles is a must, hence to me Blu-ray would be my choice as a medium for watching movies. I'm not sure if Netflix has subtitles for their streaming titles, but if they do I think that'd be incentive for me to subscribe to them again and pick "1080p" streaming as the definitive option.

psssshh.... there was plenty of detail in the other planets that you visit especially the ones in the story. Most of the places like the ships and such w/ the "low details" I believe is because that's the design they were going for. If they added too much detail to the ships and such, it wouldn't give it the sci-fi feel to it.
I assume you saw this summer's Star Trek. Notice the bridge interior of the ship was rather plain cept the control interfaces?

Forza 2 had crazy damage. It was cool having my bumper on the floor and watching the car in front of me run into it the following lap. It was cool running into the back of a rear engine car and pretty much ensuring it won't win the race. >=) But where's the damage in these videos? They're getting me pumped but I wanna see someone's capture of a race w/ assists all off and damage completely on. Come on man!
I was at Fry's for Black Friday last year and overheard a 40-50's chinese couple speak in mandarin about a blu-ray burner they looked at. The husband was interested in it but the wife told him "it isn't good because we can't make [pirated] copies of movies."
FYI my late 60s dad just recently discovered the wonders of using a computer/internet and within a short amount of time, found himself a chinese p2p bittorent/limewire app, and he's the biggest user of bandwidth ...
Sadly, the PS3 is still full of fail. By the time they reach decent numbers to be second place, it won't matter anymore. Sony will just have to release their next console and call it the Sony Failstation.

Meh, I still use Google though. Bing is too fancy and anything that tells me I should install Silverlight (even if I don't need to) is a big nono.

Sure he made a game called Doom (of course many others), a classic game no doubt successful and brought us today's FPS. And then he and his team brought us something revolutionary in the PC fps genre... something called Quake. The next modern-day iteration of Doom was also a huge step up in graphics and really showed us what else could be done to an FPS.

Just downloaded the hd video that some of you guys recommended watching instead of the small one embedded here. Not sure if some of you calibrated your monitors, but the PS3 version had more detail, sharper textures, and I noticed more cherry blossom leaves falling during the fights. There's decapitation with purple fairy dust while the 360 version obviously has its blood. Ps3 version's blood doesn't seem to stain the floors much.
