well the DSi is quite expensive and for $30 more you can a Wii at is now lowered price, or a 360 arcade if the $199 is still around - heard it went up in price?

Edit: Roughly $232 total with California tax @ 9.75% if using the Dell deal. It's about $273 using CA tax w/ MSRP of $249.99. Save yourself about $41.

California tax is 9.25-9.75% depending on what city you're in. In Pasadena, it's 9.25, but some parts of Los Angeles and in San Francisco it's 9.75% d...

Is that the final build of the game? Remember that one review? 8/10 ? Long loading times? What loading times? Did you guys notice any?

Edit: WHOA that snow at 4:42 & 5:09 looks awesome.

I found that link from a poster on gamersyde. It's interesting that you can hear what the engine sounds like at idle.

Yea Forza 3 runs at 2x msaa if I recall. Don't know how much GT5 uses. Also I read on the Beyond 3D forums that the Turn10 devs said they emphasize the msaa on the cars but not on the tracks. At least that screencap shows that the GT5 tribute vid isn't CGI.

So you argue about nitty gritty textures on road surfaces.... which on a clean road surface can easily be replaced with a nitty gritty texture ? Why not talk about polygon count?

@Kushan

Well forza's coming out real soon, so I would think that video is representative of their game. You can also see some anomalies in GT's vid that gives indication it's probably a limit of the engine itself and not CGI, as well as some little details in the way the car moves/wheel reacts to indicate it's not CGI. The Beyond3D forum & neowin forum guys have also posted many pictures of GT5p to indicate the detailing is possible in-game. Anyway, the PD guys have ...

PD seems to know exactly what songs to use for the cars and tracks. Can't say the same for T10's choice of music. I can't wait to pick up Forza3, but I have to say, the sounds of the cars were great in the vids i've seen, but the music had always been a bit of a turnoff. Nothing the 360's custom soundtracks can't fix though.

check out the youtube vid or the actual HD vid and look around 1:20-1:22. Look what happens to the front right wheel as it's round the curve.

More or less the clip was probably made using GT5's replay mode and PD's talent when it comes to making cinematic sequences.

@ i did not murder him

You know there are some horrible PS3 fanboys and there are also some horrible 360 ones, but dude you need to stop trolling. You make xbox fans look bad, just like that Turn 10 Studios guy, who's making the company look bad with his asinine comments. We don't need fanboys and trolls influence the opinion of others on a game. Play these games and let them speak for themselves, not someone's review or someone else's ignorance.

on a side note, did you guys check out the ODST segment on fox news? ODST on the news!

That's funny Turn 10, but people have been doing that in Forza 2 for a long time too.

I wonder if I can make a car fly off Camino Viejo and outta the track in Forza 3.

oh no, with the exposure of his opinion in regards to YLOD/RROD, he shows his true colors. the horror.

I sense a fanboy that argues inFamous' play length to be equal ODST would also be a fanboy that argues that Sony fanboys were dumb to pay $$ for the demo called GT5p, but that ODST @ $60 is completely justified.

Actually, SanCon was a pretty dead site despite how much of those "articles" he had. I think it wasn't until his site appeared as a link in Danny Choo that it started getting hits. I think SanCon didn't get submitted to N4G until recently as a "source" and that's when it started getting a bigger influx of visitors. I believe it's kinda obvious that SanCon's been getting more visits per day since that first N4G submission.

Forza 3 has 20 tracks, 100 possible from different variations. At least that's what Dan Greenawalt said in the forza 3 video on their game's website. GT5 probably has about 20 too with variations. Who knows.

5998d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

if that's true that's pretty kickash. I remembered reading wiki on the upcoming FireWire and USB specs, and after gathering information about data transfer speeds, it seems that FireWire is still the industry standard to go for when it comes to professional media editing. Something about how FireWire performance is more representative of the specs on paper, while USB's actual performance lies somewhere 40% of what's written. USB is more widespread though, so I think we'll see it arou...

The screenshots the Examiner article uses are real screenshots of the game in replay mode I believe. The first two links you posted are the menu mode screenshots, and it's in menu mode that the game uses different rendering & ray tracing.

wow buddy, the ps3fanboy getting fake pics ? You serious? That Matt Furtado guy on Examiner used to always write PS3 fail articles.

I love that xanavi. It's like a dream being able to drive that beauty in GT5 and Forza 3. This is the best holiday ever.
