A remake is a remake. And they're "remaking" the game, hence it's a remake.
Also NGS was way better than NGB. The visuals are wayyy better, a few more weapons, new enemies (even more true on harder difficulty), new bosses, more game (w/ rachel) and even more important 60fps. Not sure if NGB had 60fps but it certainly did not feel as smooth as NGS. I also believe NGS had more missions in the mission mode as well.

Why all the hate for text chat? It's actually quite difficult to join friends and stuff without proper communication and PS3 hasn't really had that. But at least with this text chat you can communicate with 'multiple' friends fairly easy. It's not really close to having audio chat but it sure is helpful until we get that.
I was going to get into Home again the other day but then I had to download all the locations again and I figured "f it", I rather just play some games. I eventually did check out the RE5 place and Warhawk's but didn't do much from there. Weirdly enough though, I don't feel Home is any less populated now. Maybe they group people to servers behind the scenes or something but the amount of people present was pretty much the same as when Home launched.

Thanks to Sony's friendly DRM. I'm actually willing to buy PSN games. I recently bought Puzzle Fighter, Suikoden (PS1) and Flower off of PSN and I would probably not have done so if the DRM were more restrictive. I know I would at least hesitate to buy both Puzzle Fighter and Suikoden (Flower I was kinda interested in). At this stage I'm planning to buy Burnout as well (just need some free time).
So to sum up, the DRM on PS3 is not another factor in my purchasing decisions tha...
I'm quite surprised at how weak of a showing MS had. I actually think they had nothing. Am I wrong? Did MS reveal anything at all? Cause I truthfully can't remember.
I hope this website dies, at least then we would remove a large portion of N4G's trash articles. Seriously though, Midway has made some fairly good games in the past. They just didn't get the attention they deserved. Specifically Shadow Hearts series and Psi Ops and to some degree The Suffering. And I personally had a lot of fun with Stranglehold
The way I see it is. If X360 owners are willing to pay 50$ a year to game online, then that in itself is a commitment (although both my cousin and brother pays and rarily plays). So I kinda would think 360 owners probably win. Then again, I hear there's a bunch of kids on there. Then again who knows, there might be a bunch of kids on PS3 too (we just don't hear them, thank god). Then again PS3 did win the SFIV tournament.
I'm having a feeling that DC universe won't be released till 2010-2011. These MMOs always seem to get delayed. Then again Marvel's MMO is probably gonna get delayed as well.
I mean WAR, Lotro, AoC, WoW all of these got delayed. Huxley was suppose to come out in 2007 I think and it's 2009 and they haven't even announced a release date (I think). These MMOs takes a long time to develop. I think the Fallout MMO has been in development for a long time as well.

I guess the biggest difference is that MS is actively searching out the publishers and paying them. While Sony is more standing in their spot and asking if anyone wants the money. What's better and wutnot doesn't really matter. If we understand business, we all can see that PR people will defend the company no matter what. If they didn't, then they wouldn't be doing their job.
If Kojima is still on a mission to make the impossible possible. Then I guess it would be easier to reach that goal by developing on one platform. Then again, maybe that's the impossible he's trying to conquer. Who knows, he may just make the best multiplatform game that'll stand toe to toe with the exclusives as far as both the technical aspects (read: graphics) and the entertainment aspects (read: fun factor).

i say download the demo and try for yourself. I liked it, far from perfect but was quite interesting. Not a day 1 purchase but probably down the road when it's cheap.
yeah I recently swapped out my hard drive and it is very easily stripped. The screws sits there really tight and you have to be really careful. If you've been through a similar situations before and have some experience then you'll probably be able to do it, but for first timers I suggest you get someone and get the right screw driver as well.
That's the only hard part though. Everything else is actually pretty easy if you've been near anything screws.
It's actually quite surprising how well some of the multiplat games have done on the PS3. Considering the US has twice as many 360s out there, PS3 versions are not doing bad at all. Actually having quite a few that almost matches that of the 360, namely MK vs DC, Burnout Paradise, Dynasty Warriors, Prince of Persia and Silent Hill 5. All (well at least most) of the following games listed below having a significant better ratio of the expected 2:1 in the US.

hahahah I did almost the same thing, only I played pokemon red. Charizard always look cooler than that big blue tortoise. lol I don't remember their names anymore. Was really cool though and addictive.
I heard SH2 was the best. I personally was more of a RE guy and never really got into SH. Today the tables have turned and I've been more interested in SH but I can't find myself playing old games. There are way too many annoying quirks that annoys the crap out of me. Like controls for one and graphics as second. Think the only game I've been able to play was MGS1, which actually still blows my mind as far as story and bosses goes.
People are missing out. My favorite single-player FPS experience EVER!
