Man it was a bit too slow for me. Seemed like they're trying to be Fifa a bit too much. I'm quite disappointed but will give it another go. Doesn't seem like I'll be getting a soccer game this year (unless I buy PES 09)
There is something unnatural about Fifa.
PES 09 was awesome, have no idea why people are hating. PES 08 sucked terribly yes, but 09 was really good! Very excited for PES 10.
Tried Fifa and really don't know what the fuss is about. It feels so clumsy or clunky in a way. One thing I will give it, is that everytime I pass, it passes 90% of the time to exactly the place I want it to pass. Which doesn't happen quite as often in PES (75-80%'ish I figure)

My 60gb gets actually pretty hot and pretty loud (especially during the summer). But it's still not as bad as my brother's 360 (when the disc drive is spinning).

Lol the console "that set the bench mark for console launch" started only losing once the PS2 launched (at a 399$ price tag mind you). hmmm.
Not to mention that Dreamcast was basically non-existant in Europe (or at least it was in Norway, don't even think it launched there).

In any case maybe check your account settings. You CAN turn off these "ads" when you sign up for an account. It's not mandatory to have them send you emails.
Wow how DUMB is the author of this article? First off, regardless of the % jump in hardware sales, it outsold the competition 3 to 1! In addition to that the 360 was up 29% that period! That's huge! If the dust settles it might settle at 2 to 1.

Dreamcast is way overappreciated. When I ask almost anyone about what games they enjoyed, they can only list a handful. Maybe it's one of them consoles you had to be there to know what was up.

wow I was almost sure PS1 would get a top 3 spot. I would argue that, that's really where today's console gaming has it's true roots from. I mean PS1 technically took 3d gaming and lifted it up the sky for everyone to see. Tomb Raider, MGS, Tekken, RE just to name a few. It also has even till this date the best JRPGs ever made, including FF7 and FF8, Xenogears, Suikoden 1 & 2, Vagrant Story, Chrono Cross and probably quite a few more that I can't remember or can't really judge as I haven'...
lol gotta agree with 1.0. Graphics were only decent and a little bit above average at best (though I think it was the first game to have 60fps). DLC sucked and was way overpriced.
People always try to stomp on Treyarch for not being the original developer. In other words I'm calling people biased. CoD WaW brought a lot of good stuff to the table. 4 player co-op among them and the zombie mode. It was far from a letdown and quite worthy of the name CoD.

Yeah Edge sux, but it's just an opinion you know. I guess I've started to appreciate their honesty, unlike all the other sites who give every "good game with hype" a score of 9-10/10.
Of course I'm not saying my opinion is close to Edge's, in fact I disagree with them a lot. And when games like Bioshock, Mass Effect and Gears get scores of 8,7,8 respectively and gives Halo 3 a 10, I start to wonder if they're gamers at all or if they're Halo 3-only gamers.

Funny how this article actually makes me want to support the title and I'm actually more of a PS3 guy too.
And I've been running around saying it's a day 1 purchase for me. Figured it might be 10-15$ but guess I was wayyy off. A great game but at 30$ I'm very hesitant.
This was one of my most anticipated games and it disappoints me to the gut that this team will let me down. I'll definitately won't support some stinky ass port. PlatinumGames just killed the fan in me, Hideki Kamiya's games won't even be on my radar anymore, same as the Shinji Mikami games. To think that I forced myself to like this game more than I did.
