I really hope Midway pulls it together. Really hope they'll manage to survive. Already bought MK vs DC to support them. If Wheelman is any good I'll probably get that one as well.
I'm really excited for Heavy Rain, inFamous and Uncharted 2. I was bummed when they delayed the first two (kinda nerfed the year 2008 a bit, but LBP and MGS4 was more than enough), but now I got a lot to look forward too and 2009 seem to be just another great year for me as a gamer.
The driving mechanics of GT5P is unmatched. The precision and just the overall feel of all the cars included is just great. You can totally feel a difference and the graphics is just wayyy out there. If there's a photo-realistic game out there it's GT5P.
I do agree that Forza is on top right now though but that's due to Online, both internal and external customization and car damage. No one can deny that. However we all know at least internal customization is gonna exist for GT...
It's already announced that the mag was killed. Apparently UGO doesn't have all the money in the world and they weren't able to afford all of the magazine publishing expenses (and i guess the video show expenses). Thus many people were laid off (mostly from EGM and Gamevideos crew).
So yea unfortunately the best magazine out there right now is probably Game Informer which imo sucks (like I said, I only read 20% of it and scans the rest). I have nothing good to read in my bathro...
It was great, their writing was professional but with a touch of this "down-to-earth" mentality. They weren't afraid to pull out jokes when it was fitting and they weren't afraid to bash a game. And they used to have 3 reviewers (at one point 5 afaik) on one game (the last few issues only had it on the big games though).

Capcom vs SNK is probably my favorite 2d fighting game. Mainly because it doesn't have that super-jumping (or whatever you call it) that Marvel vs Capcom have. I really hope they bring a new Capcom vs SNK.

Would've been cool though. I would like to have a phone with decent gaming capabilities as I always find myself with 10 min of free time here and there. And what do I always have with me? My cell phone. iPhone is very appealing to me in that regard, if only it had buttons. It also would've wau cool to have PS3 remote-play capabilities.

Love Yakuza series as well. But I feel the need to clear things up a bit, Yakuza plays nothing like a GTA game. It's more like a action-rpg with an incredible story and LOTS of mini-games and sidemissions.
FallOut 3 should be on that list. The story was so great and then boom out of nowhere the ending comes. Not satisfying at all.
I think it works pretty good for movies. Games not so much, there's like a half a second delay for each button input add that to that only like 2 games support it (Bionic Commando: Rearmed and Lair I believe). Movies works great though as that delay means pretty much nothing.
Nothing to buy a PSP for, but a really cool added bonus if you have one.
man I hope they continue with something along the lines of 1up Show. It was to me the most trustworthy source for opinions on a game. They talked about both the good and the bad and very often showed it too with a clip from the game. Wish them the best of luck and I'll be keeping an eye on them for sure. I just hope the publishers will provide them with games to preview.
