I've seen countless of used Assassin's Creed at GameStop which tells me the game must've been a huge disappointment to a lot of people. Knowing that I can't see Assassin's Creed 2 get the same attention or sales.
I do know though that Ubisoft usually do a great job with their sequels (not so much on new ips or new ideas in general). Like GRAW2 and R6V2 is are good examples (or so I hear). It also just makes sense since they dont have to build the tech from scratch they can just...
Gotta agree with you. Outselling the DSi is a big feat (it just got released a week or two ago right?). I'm also kinda surprised 360 is doing above 10k. That's a big feat for them I bet. I remember in 2007 they were below 2k a week and in 2008 around 5k'ish. So seeing 10k is fairly high for 360.
probably didn't have the resources. I mean they began outsourcing for the game using their argueably strongest franchise Street Fighter IV.
You know at first I thought it was legit but after reading a lot of your comments about how many of you got your 60gb replaced and how some even got their non-BC 80gb replaced with BC 80gbs. It makes me wonder. Especially if Sony couldn't even replace it with a 60gb or 20gb for that matter.
Almost gotta agree but it also largely depends on this generation's lifecycle. If it will last 10 years and I believe that it can, anything that's gonna come out is just gonna be a small upgrade like the DSi. If we are to say last console cycle started when the Dreamcast came (1998) and this generation started when 360 came (2005) then that's already 7 years.
Given the economy, developers' budget and the fact that both MS and Sony needs to recoup a lot of their costs (MS with ...
Exactly what this game needs to keep it alive. The more people play this game the more likely it's gonna spread to those who missed out.
HAhahahahahahaahahah OFFFICIAL this article's headline cracks me up! Hahahahahahah seriously. How can you make that "official"? Not even gonna read the article cause the headline was so dumb but hahahahah cracked me up.
Sounds like I'm the only one but I couldn't follow that story or stories. It was all over the place. He's talking about how he likes to look at the condition of his games then jumps to EB games about how he skims through strategy guides then jumps to some xtc tablets found by some couple and then... lost me.
Thought this might be an interesting read but it gave me a headache.
lol don't know about you guys but a 5/5 sounds a bit fishy to me. It certainly doesn't look like a 5/5 game. Could be an 4/5 or 4.5/5 but a triple A title? I guess I shouldn't judge it just by watching but I'll definitately wait for more opinions
Lol and if we take top 10 we have 2xPS3 > 1x360
If we take top 15 we have 3xPS3 > 2x360
We can spin this a lot of ways. But I'll leave that job to the PRs.
Wow some of you are too quick to agree. FYI most demos are actually a year old build. Also this demo will provde an insight into what the game will be like, it's not some prototype they're throwing away. Regardless of how old this demo is, Square Enix know this is a small representation of the game MUST put in effort to make it look good if not great. If it doesn't then Square knows it's gonna hurt their Final Fantasy brand and that would hurt them way more than the money they'll make off thi...
Could be just me thinking about it and focusing on it too much but it certainly feels like Capcom lost their way once they dissolved Clover and many key-people left. Includes Hideki Kamiya who directed Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry (1), Viewtiful Joe and Okami. And Shinji Mikami who worked on COUNTLESS Capcom games among them he directed RE1, RE4 and REmake. On top of that Atsushi Inaba also left with them who's been the producer on many Capcom titles and was the president of Clover.

has anyone ever seen a HHG predictions go through?
Ninja Blade better than Ninja Gaiden 2? NOPE!
Capcom going PSN exclusive? NOPE!
Those are the ones I can remember but I'm sure none of the others went as he predicted it will.
beyond is good but can't beat 1up yours (or ListenUp or whatever... 4 guys 1up?)
I believe Sony owns the Gran Turismo franchise but Polyphony Digital is an independent developer with a great relationship with Sony. Kinda like Insomniac and Sucker Punch. Or Bungie with Microsoft for that matter.
Nintendo has actually been somewhat aggressive. They raided the R4 people I believe (at the time they had the most popular cartridge hack or whatever you call them).
I guess it all depends on how you look at it. I can see where you're coming from though but I personally 'at this stage' don't find it a compelling upgrade. I mean there are no games that takes advantage of the cameras as far as I know and I'm guessing the DSi shop is fairly small at this stage. I must admit I haven't really gotten into what the upgrades are but I'm guessing those two are the biggest (DSi shop and camera). I also don't know what games the DSi shop carries either.
Well Spoony. The biggest difference is that DSi costs 50$ more than the DS Lite. So they actually upped the price. The PSP has at the very least always stayed the same.
Also I'm sure there were a bunch of people complaining about the PSP. You not seeing them is quite a feat in my opinion. My brother alone was all "it's not a useless upgrade" or something along those lines and "they're coming out with too many upgrades lately" and "what I like about cons...
Actually kinda surprised considering that PS3 version of MK vs DC sold almost on par with the 360 version (it was in the Life to Date NPD sales article) and that in the US only. I would expect it to do even better outside of the US. But maybe TNA did really well on 360 or something. Or maybe there were some XBLA games that did really well. Kinda weird but oh well, who cares.
Wow the game looks amazing. Graphically it's asily the best looking open world game. Unless you call Yakuza 3 an open world (the attention to details is just unrivaled).

Anyway it's kinda interesting to see Mafia 2 be compared to GTA IV. Cause while GTA revolutionized open world games, Mafia was the first to go for the more realistic route that GTA eventually went for. So essentially Mafia copied from GTA and GTA copied from Mafia. Anyway just thought that was interesting.
