Itagaki left, that's what happened.
Of course we still don't really know what Team Ninja is up to these days. Will they stick with the 360 as they have done for the past few years. Or will they turn their heads to the PS3 as their current "leader" Hayashi headed the PS3 exclusive Ninja Gaiden Sigma? *dun dun duh*
More interestingly what game are they working on? Hopefully that'll be the announcement.
Not really interested in any of those (well maybe Prototype) but I am interested in Bayonetta, Tekken 6 and Alpha Protocol. Just too many games coming out this year. It really looks like it's gonna be an even better year than 2008.
Sega is crazy these days. They've done an amazing job with most of their franchises. House of the Dead, Yakuza and Virtua Fighter to be more accurate (Sonic is still kinda bad, but it did have some really great moments, play the demo to see what I mean). On top of that they're supporting these great games like Madworld and both Alpha Protocol by Obsidian, who have many of the former Fallout studio Black Isle and Bayonetta by Platinum Games who after Madworld has proven that they were the ones...
Hideki Kamiya should have been on the top 10. Having created games in many genres and always succeeding is a feat that very few game designers have. Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe and Okami. I mean that's crazy, what's even more crazy is that he has yet to make a game that has averaged below 90% on gamerankings. Please do mind that the "ports" usually gets a lower score.
Having said that I think Miyamoto definitately deserves the nr 1 spot. I mean come ...
It is because of "Deal Of the Day". Yesterday when Banjoo Kazooie was nr 1, thanks to deal of the day (price: 20$).
Figures, Ubisoft with their half assed attempts at "new IPs" or "new concepts". Assassin's Creed, Endwar, Naruto, Far Cry 2 and Prince of Persia and so forth. Whenever they try something new, they never go the distance and thus their first game becomes this half assed game and the fans has to wait for the sequel to get the real experience. GRAW and RS6V are great examples.
Oh well at least they try to do something new, I appreciate that.
How about Resident Evil 1.5 (the original RE2), a game that was technically 70-80% done or something. Or the scrapped RE4 (with hooked man) that according to Mikami would make you "pee your pants".
How about Starcraft: Ghost!? I'm still waiting for this one.
How about Eight Days? It looked sick and you definitately saw potential in the tech demo or prototype (google it).
Seems like these fools only played the Nintendo consoles cause prett...
lol Yakuza 3 beat Mario & Luigi RPG life time sales. That's pretty cool, especially considering the NDS userbase in Japan.
Here's one quite interesting interview with the current Team Ninja
http://www.gamasutra.com/vi...
They didn't sound like they were making a X360 exclusive game at all from that interview. In fact it sounded more like they were more enthusiastic about the PS3. That's just what I felt when I read it though.
I'd care. I would like to have the game on my PS3. Though with all the other great games coming, it would probably get overshadowed (for me personally at least). But I would still like to have Lost Planet 2 on PS3.
It would seem weird to port the first one to the PS3 and not do the sequel on the PS3. Although considering Capcom has yet to announce the PS3. I'm guessing they might do a deal like 2k games did with BioShock. I mean MS really needs something to spice this year up. And honestly, even if I'm not a Lost Planet fan (thought the first one was average) I thought the trailer looked REALLY good. Especially in the non-snowy parts. And the four-player co-op at the end looked AWESOME. It was like the ...
There have been reports of people seeing HAZE for 7.48$ at Target. Target Clearence prices vary a lot.
Yup Gears Of War 2 was merely a Gears Of "more". Whatever they tried to do new or to spice up the game, came out as a gimmick or just annoying. *spoilers btw* One of the biggest was the having your co-op partner holding one side of this box (which was actually a bomb) and you on the other, and basically being stuck together and limited your moveset. The reaver riding was awesome to look at, but the gameplay was just really really bad. The vehicle stuff was even worse. I think the on...
Don't forget the Games for Windows Live memberships. All five of them.
Problem with RE5 is that it's trying to emulate a shooter but does not have the controls for it. Why do they give us all these enemies without the proper maneuvering abilities. RE4 was revolutionary for it's time and the controls fitted the GameCube very well (1 analog stick only) and was the platform it was designed for (announced as a GC exclusive after all). Taken that into account and the fact that people didn't play shooters all that much at the time, this was an amazing feat. But the co...
Since some disagreed with me. I feel the need to throw this in their faces. From RE5 director Yasuhiro Anpo, EGM issue 234 page 60.
"Certainly, we've had to play through Resident Evil 4 a lot of times ourselves and we feel it's a very long game. And that's one of the tough parts about it, that it takes so long to play through. Resident Evil 5 will probably end up being a littler shorter than Resident Evil 4. We've looked at some parts of RE4 that weren't so exciting, and w...
Actually, I've read somewhere that in a lot of reviews they said RE4 was too long and when presented that case to the developer (Takeuchi?) he told them they felt the same way and was gonna address that issue. Saying that they would analyze what was fun and what was not.
Think it was in the EGM issue where RE5 was on the cover.
I disagree. Uncharted was a fairly easy game. On Crushing difficulty equals that of what Call Of Duty 4 was on Hardened. It's perfectly challenging but not even remotely close to impossible.
downloaded in the background so I didn't notice it. But it came fairly quick, maybe around 20 minutes.
lol I agree with X-Play as well actually. DMC4 was a big disappointment. Biggest yet this generation. Dead Space on the other hand was a nice surprise. Considering they don't give out half scores (like 4.5) I bet they had a hard time deciding between a 4/5 and 5/5. And to me Dead Space is pretty far from a 5/5. So I would've gone with 4/5 as well. Had it been a scale of 1 to 10 then it would've gotten a 9 from me.
