I doubt that they would change that part of the rendering pipeline the "spheres" would still be made out of a bunch of little triangles and normal smoothing, instead of some sort of quadratic equation used to define shapes... Like they did way back before they realized they didn't need perfect spheres...
Rather than as a 3d rasterizer, specialized ray tracing hardware would be awsome for physics engines, as all your little particles need to do a bunch of ray ...
Wasn't there a big effort to get away from ray tracing becaise it was much more inefficient than triangle rasterizers??? Like way back in the 80's???
Look at the story right next to this one about PS3 Hackers. LOL
How would banning be too extreme??? Banning would be perfectly appropriate. Generally when you get caught shop lifting you are told to never return to the store where you shoplifted, I don't see how this would be any different than that.
Dread,
I am so farbehind in my backlog of games, aw f' it. I give up. Xbox is going to continue to give me more game than I need for for the rest of this generation.
No games lol.
Yeah, Im looking at Steam and D2D and OnLive, and Im looking at the xbox superior online service, and Im thinking that MS is focusing on XBLA titles now because that is how people are buying games now days, and these huge titles are a relic of a bygone video game era.
You know just this morning I played Left 4 Dead with a woman who bought the xbox for the Kinect but now plays Left4Dead (GamerScore of 320). And just by hanging with her and Friend requesting her, I received her digits.
If this is what casualization means, then I am all for it!
too soon...
It was a while ago, But I played a Bob the Builder game that THQ did that was actually a lot of fun.
So its like ME1 and ME2, where ME1 was an awsome RPG, while ME2 was action adventure with RPG elements.
Scanning for resources sure was addictive thought.
I still liked driving around alien planets better, never knowing when I would wader upon an instalation or a bunch of Geth.
Hmmm I posted in the wrong article, thanks for the agree though;)
Frosty,
Fakechartz undertracked the 360 by about 50k units for the months. In a couple of hours we will see how baddly they over tracked the PS3. You wanna stick with those numbers? LOL.
Citizen_King,
then you worked for a crap retailer. When I ordered product, it was based on a program... How many did we sell since we last ordered. Order that many more. Are we totally out of stock? Well order more than that then. But not too much more.
Nothing ever set in the backroom for more than a day or three. If something didn't sell it was discounted and we got rid of it, and never ordered again.
Our goal was to be out o...
Hmm, and I am jonzing for netflix + kinect and hulu+ Plus kinect.
If I had a 4-5 year old living with me Sesame Street would be a day one buy.
And again, as Kinect catches on and word of mouth spreads, the xbox will be outselling the patch station 3 by this summer in europe, and Japan this winter.
Time to just deal.
I can tell when a person has never worked in retail. Nope. We don't order things if they don't sell.

Suck on it;P
@ below
Like I said, click on link, read the description, then suck on it.
LG owns the blu-ray specification. This is not only for the blu-ray drive in the PS3, but all of Sonys blu-ray players and tvs.
Not a dick move to make sure you get paid...
Is a dick move to not pay your bills.
Sony is making a deal to use LG flat panels in their 3d tv's.
Well gpu isn't as fast as vector processing because it doesn't do all the branch prediction and what not...
Also, I suspect we will have optical computers before fully making the switch to quantum computers.
