The whole "somebody who is not very well known in the industry" part of the interview made me cringe. That along with the E3 stage part really showed the interviewer didn't do his homework. I thought Cerny handled the interview well, especially those questions which didn't quite come out right...

Cerny comes across as a guy who is very professional in how he conducts himself, yet manages to appear trustworthy and highly likeable at the same time. Really a va...

I hardly count including Kinect functionality on Xbox One as "screwing PS4".

If you're talking about showing the gameplay at Microsoft E3, or one of the map packs being a timed exclusive - that's simply money talking.

I personally don't think I'll have a problem with it, so it's not a huge issue for me.

But for people who play in dark rooms with plasma TVs, I can certainly imagine it would cause a bit of reflection.

@Soldierone

There are pictures of it reflecting on TVs at E3, I saw a few of them posted on Neogaf. If it can reflect in a well lit environment, I can definitely imagine it would reflect in a dark room.

But once aga...

I don't think peoples issues are with the battery so much as reflections from televisions in some conditions.

I do hope Sony give the option for devs to turn it off if it is not an integral part of their game.

And if you care more about the sales than the actual exclusives, what does that make you? More of a gamer, or more of a fanboy?

@Nocando it was a flamebait article with a quote taken out of context.

Originally it was a comparison of next-gen to current-gen using the Xbox One as an example (no mention of PS4). The omission of specically mentioning PS4 lead the website to twist this into incorrectly saying the Xbox-One will have more dynamic worlds in an attempt for hits.

We will not know which will have more "dynamic" worlds until either it is explicitly confirmed, or we get ...

I'll take you up on that bet. The next-gen consoles will not be equal in terms of performance.

Awkward? Never! :D

I agree though, there's fans of consoles, then there's fanboy personalities who rely on insults and incomprehensible arguments to attempt to get their point across. Articles like this, flamebait designed to promote controversy and hits do nothing to help the situation.

To be honest, it felt like all the fanboy console wars had calmed down before the release of the new consoles...

But I guess as long as people have ...

I have to say, I like the end part of this gameplay (around 8 minutes) much more than what they showed on Jimmy Fallon. I really do hope the game delivers.

I may not get it at launch, but I do plan to a tad bit further down the line.

Your link appears to be broken.

However, from the original article it was stated "we are able to push further on the Xbox One".

There is no clarrification on whether they are able to push further on Xbox One in comparison to PS4, the paragraph is about "some of the advantages next-gen power affords Watch Dogs". This means the paragraph is comparing next-gen to current-gen, not next-gen to next-gen.

It's a fairly debat...

@edonus

So by saying that, if Microsoft was to release an SKU without the Kinect bundled, it would not be the same price as the PS4?

23 days ago in a reply to Muffins1223 you agreed that if they dropped the Kinect they could sell the Xbox One for $400. So effectively, you implicate yourself in "baby language fanboy echochamner drivel".

Investments into servers should come from the revenue they generated off of Xbox Live. Not from t...

I'm always worried about sequels to great games. There is just always so much hype surrounding them, that it's almost impossible for the developers to live up to what people expect.

That being said, I'ld love it if Naughty Dog could find a way to top The Last of Us, and I have no doubt that unless there is a radical shift in their company, they will continue delivering stellar titles.

4577d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Hang on, I thought the Xbox One was $100 more because of the Kinect?

I know you're basically just a troll account, and it pains me to reply to you, but look at your first line "Look at them squirm. Reality hurts so much". That seems to apply to you more than anyone else on this site.

This is a rubbish article with quotes taken out of context.

I personally can not wait for Beyond: Two Souls, as from what I've seen thus far it looks amazing. I also really loved Heavy Rain earlier this generation.

However, even if the story may be stellar, I feel as if it wouldn't be given much of a chance at Game of the Year due to hugely differing opinions surrounding the gameplay present within it.

I do hope it gets recognition if it lives up to the usual Quantic Dream level of storytelling.

What will we see?

What has happened, has happened. All we will see are two systems with varying specs at launch. We will see PS4 exclusives down the line with a higher level of graphical fidelity. We will see the benefits of having slightly higher specs. That is what we will see, or so I predict.

Even if what you state is true, that Sony did not care about the developers or gamers (which would be a terrible, terrible business plan), then what does that make M...

To be honest, there is no chance of Xbox One power even equally the PS4s power. If it did, or even came close, we would have solid specs from Microsoft instead of using phrasing like "5 billion transistors" and "the power of the cloud".

eSram ensures it won't be left behind, but I can imagine a unified pool of higher speed GDDR5 would be a whole lot easier and more efficient for developers to work with, than 32mb of fast ram (I believe it's 32mb, c...

@ PositiveEmotions

Software is right. For example we now know the PS4 storage, and required internet (apart from at signup) and used game fee has been changed for Xbox One. It is also innacurate as it doesn't acknowledge the Xbox One eSRam.

Therefore the sheet does not have the most current, up to date information.

Sony is a great hardware company. I have no doubt that they considered where the heat would go when they made a box like that.

I just believe they were smart when engineering the box, but only time will tell at launch really.

And TwistedReality, do you mind telling me which tech site? I don't not believe you, I just wouldn't mind reading about that myself.

The OXMUK twitter account stated that an official Microsoft PR rep stated that as far as he knows, the plans remain unchanged.

So either the PR rep doesn't know, the distributor simply got it wrong, or it was meant to be confirmed at some other time and this is some sort of leak.

Only time will tell.

I personally find it strange how MS included a headset with the 360, but not with the X1. So it would not be surprising if they did revers...

I could afford to get all the consoles, but I find that the vast majority of games are available on both. Therefore it comes down to exclusives.

And at the exclusive level, I simply pick the console which appeals most to me, and what I have the most confidence with.

I do regret on missing out on games, but it's just not worth the money when I wouldn't spread my time throughout all three consoles. Not to mention I simply don't have the time to pla...
