No, I do not agree that COD changes more compared to shooters such as Battlefield.
I never played WaW online so can't comment on that. Really? You use "customizeable killstreaks" as the main point for MW2 being different to COD4? Sure you could pick what you wanted, but it wasn't a huge deal. It was just a small new gameplay feature. I would more say Spec Ops was a good change in MW2 not in COD4.
I do agree Black Ops changed things up quite ...
In my opinion, COD holds other games back.
Other devs can see that what COD has sells so much - so why not try to copy it? It ruins games.
Not to mention so many of my real life friends are tied up on playing COD, that if I want to play with them I too have to play it -.-
The difference when you say could we make a game, is that they are the ones whose have a job in making it. I bet the developers at Treyarch or Infinity Ward couldn't do ...
I'm pretty sure it was sarcasm.
I hate it how people take out all their anger on him. He had to take all the crap simply because he was community manager, its not like he could singlehandedly fix the lag, balance the weapons and create a perfect game all by himself.
I don't think many of the idiots tweeting to him are smart enough to realise he's a creative strategist and community manager, not a main developer who can magically fix the game if he wanted to >.>
On consoles, as far as I have seen, there are definetly no aimbots. I have over 12 days gameplay and have never came across anyone who you could deem to be using one.
Generally people know where you are because they check corners, in order to discover campers, or people like you.
With headshots what your seeing is most likely luck, I personally have never seen a game where anyone will get more than a few headshots in a row. Generally, every time one of my fr...
It seems Modnation may have been a test ground for kart racing games under Play.Create.Share.
It feels as if this will almost be a direct sequel to Modnation yet properly introducing the LittleBigPlanet franchise into it, generating more interest (and therefore revenue).
As you said it also does seem a step towards having a face of the brand across multiple different games. It'l be interesting to see what happens though.
Well a FPS is generally a full game, and you pay a full price for it.
I like to think of Journey as more of an experience than a game so to speak. My first runthrough was amazing, and it took about two hours of just steadily going through the game.
I still have most of the trophies to collect so will probably need another 2 runthroughs, plus exploring different areas, would probably take the playtime to up around 5+ hours.
I really don't ...
Brilliant game, what everyone says about the attachment you get to randoms is actually true :o
I was playing with one guy from the second chapter until like 3/4 of the way through where we lost each other, I actually felt sad that I couldn't finish the game with him/her, it was really strange how connected you can get to someone without knowing a single thing about them.
o.O
I don't even...
The maps a month earlier >.>
I personally hated the respawning enemies at checkpoints and getting rammed off the road many, many times in short distances.
Although your last point makes sense Kamikaze, if they don't experiment with different games, we wouldn't see games like Little Big Planet or infamous, some of my favourite games this gen.
I believe I read somewhere it is the devs decision to implement custom music, but as you said there are a number of games which support it (Killzone 2 immediately comes to mind).
Its not exactly the same :D
Ontopic, I don't really care too much, the maps will probably be glitchy and frankly terrible when they come out, so I don't mind for our 360 friends to find all the little problems first :D
Ooops didn't see the "plat this game" part, thought it was the completes or something, my bad :P
Only 90,000 :( I haven't been keeping an eye on the sales but it seems a shame. It was a really good experience with some times when you got really drawn into it (finger cutting sequence anyone?)
Soaps death wasn't really emotional for me... He sat on a table grunting a bit :/
It mightn't have helped that I was utterly confused why the hell I was anywhere in that singeplayer, to me the story didn't make too much sense.
Seriously, your saying Uncharted 3 is a 4 year olds game? -.-
Can't both games be good, and accept that? I've got a Wii but won't get Skyward Sword simply because Zelda games don't appeal to me. Maybe its because I'm a newer gamer and wasn't around during the days of the original Zeldas, but to me, I just can't get into any of them.
Does it mean I'm any less of a gamer? No, I don't think so, I just have a preference.
I paid $150 AUD for the Hardened Edition of MW3, and although I haven't 'reviewed' it on metacritic, I wouldn't mind.
The campaign missions all felt like ones I had played before, nearly every single one of them. The multiplayer lag compensation was terrible, I was on 4 bars and felt like I was playing with 2. The voice chat is dodgy and the game freezes half the time I'm with a party or search for a game.
Ontop of that COD Elite is a jok...
@EEJLP
I don't agree the KZ2 caters to the little 12 year olds, while there are turrets and air support, these were easily combated.
Each class offered different advantages and disadvantages that had to be weighed up, and the sniper wasn't as huge of a deal in KZ2 and it was in KZ3 (that was a tad overpowered, especially when given an assault rifle).
I thought KZ2 was A LOT of fun, and the multiplayer generally had a steeper learning ...
