I doubt you'ld get that at TGS, unfortunately. It would be amazing if we did, but I just doubt it.
Actually don't know when we'll see our first gameplay, but I'ld rather they show it when it's in a good state rather than show a really early build leading to negative feedback.
It'll be a Q3/Q4 release next year, so still a long time before release in which time we'll see gameplay.
If Microsoft had more power somewhere hiding inside their Xbox they would *not* hide it.
Why the hell would they hide it and let themselves be labelled with "inferior hardware" while they're getting demolished in preorders, there's no logic.
Xbox supports can hope all they want, but it's not happening.
Interesting that you think the PS4 will do slightly less than the PS3 numbers. The PS3 had a pretty rough few first years, and had much of the marketshare taken (especially initially) by the 360 and the Wii.
But this generation the Wii U isn't looking to do too well (could very well turn around), and if you expect the Xbox One to do 25% less, then shouldn't that marketshare move to the PS4? In which case it would sell slightly above PS3 numbers?

Basically every impression I've read was surprised how fun it actually is.
I don't understand why it's not being released in some Tier 2 European countries due to localisation concerns, when this appears to be the exact same case, yet is getting a Tier 1 release without full features?

It's better than previously expected, but you can't really argue with the actual spec gap between the two systems.
It's just not as bad as many presumed. Many Xbox supporters are simply hyping it up, even if they have no idea what it means. Just don't expect some magical turnaround that somehow the architecture itself compensated for a moderate power gap.
I do believe multiplats on both will end up looking very similar tho...

All weapons will be unlocked from the get-go, you complete challenges to get attachments and presumably other abilities (XP based system is gone).

The multiplayer they showed during conference seemed to go between 30-60fps, didn't fall below 30.
I think for the final version they'll have it locked at 30fps though (as were the initial plans).
I believe it will, alongside the PC port they'll do. It would make sense - considering how it should feasibly be easy with new console(s) architecture and would give a wider population from who to gain revenue.
That said, I don't believe they'ld do a similar "cheap upgrade" deal - simply because it hasn't been announced for next-gen yet.

If I remember correctly, the actual conference will be approximately 1 hour 15 mins (or around then).
Nonetheless, they should be able to cram a decent amount of announcements into that time!
They are riding on their strong position. It would be unwise to show off games when they're already in a slow position.
It's well known that the first year after a console launch is usually a dry period, so Sony will most likely announce games during this time to keep the momentum and hype going.
We know SSM, ND, MM, etc. are all developing games, we just have to be patient to see what they bring. We'll most likely see at least 1 of those companie...
