Was hoping this would happen, I prefer getting games on my 360 if I can... compared to my PS3.
I have always liked the Xbox software over the XMB, which is why I use my Xbox more than my PS3. I really like this dashboard too...
Doubt it, people of have said that movies and TV would be replaced by Netflix for I don't know how long. Have to even looked at the sale numbers for physical movies? They still bring in more money than Streaming and DD, and in the case of Blu-ray are GROWING in sales.

OnLive is streaming not DD... so I fail to see how that matters in this discussion.
OnLive is stupid, I'll take my physical copy any day of the week. Hell even Steam is a better option, at least it's physically on your hard-drive.
Cloud storage is not that bad, but cloud gaming is a different story...
I'll quit gaming before I switch to that crap!
These articles are getting more stupid as time goes on, there nothing more than guesswork with no substantial support. N4G needs to stop letting these "I can predict the future" articles from being published on the site.
I'm all for supported information, but obvious propaganda when it has no support is ridiculous...
Cloud Gaming, Digital Distribution, Mobile Gaming... WHO REALLY CARES!!!
The consumers dictate the future, not bi...
Courts don't "always" recognize Terms of Use... if something is found to be unlawful in a company's terms a court may not even recognize it.
It has happened to other companies...
Is anyone else sick of these articles that try to predict crap that no one can really predict? Digital downloading is the future, streaming is the future, mobile will replace consoles... I've heard it all before. I'll believe it when I see it and then I'll quit gaming because I don't care for it all.
I am however sightly interested in a handheld device by MS or Sony were I could hook it up to my TV and play games like on a console and get that same experience...
Skyrim is priced just right, have you ever played an Elder Scrolls game... while most games give you 6 to 20 hours of single player, Elder Scrolls gives you HUNDREDS of hours. Well worth the 60 bucks... And FYI there are a lot of single player games worth a hell of a lot more than multiplayer games.
Of course the iPad is a bigger business than consoles, there more marketable products. Almost everyone has one. This doesn't mean consoles are not making lots of money or that they are making significant less than they use too, just that there not the "big boy" on the block so to speak. It was easy for consoles to dominate the figures in gaming when there were mainly the only thing you could play on other than PC. Now there not!
Not surprising really, the 3DS is a good solid handheld, but it was not worth $250 especially with Vita being the same price. That said, I think Nintendo just learned that they need to keep cost low in order to be a head as they have done for as long as I can remember. As good as the 3DS games can look for a handheld (and your a fan-boy if you disagree), its still outdated tech and not worth price of the Vita. Even though Nintendo has never really been about awesome graphics, they deliver awe...
I think this is better than OnLive at least you get to own your game...
If there is any game that doesn't need a demo it's Elder Scrolls, rest assured that if spend $60 for it, it's one of the few games that is actually worth it in terms of content...
OnLive is a glorified rental service, no thank you...
@Inside_out :
Ignoring that there are many flaws to cloud gaming, and the fact the a majority of gamers do not care for it... OnLive has not really taken off. Sure some people use it... but most people don't care for it, or even know what the hell it is.
The cloud works great for sharing and storing information, but not that great for gaming.
If retail and digital services like steam have taught us anything, its that people want to own w...
While I doubt that anything will really come from this, if these two were to make a console together I would prefer Sony do the hardware and MS do the software for the console. I hate the software on the PS3, hell even Sony themselves have stated in an interview that the software was not that good, they even stated they knew how to fix it... yet that has not happened yet.
While I would agree that the XMB is simple to use, it looks like crap, is slow, and is vastly unorganized...
Rumors are that both POP and Splinter Cell HD collections are both coming to the Xbox 360 soon. Lets hope more come down the road, there are many old games I would like to play in HD.
Redbox is like 10 min away, so I don't care for Netflix. As I only watch a few movies a month, it's cheaper because I will usually take them back the next day.
After dealing with that once before, I will never ever give MS my credit card... buying online game codes is a far more easier solution.
These articles are getting so stupid... STOP trying to support your augments with BS. It's easy to contribute the decline of sales for handhelds and software because of mobile or because "YOU" think physical is dying... yet NOBODY has any real proof to prove it.
Physical items still sell strong, and really people have been buying physical items for ever... why would it suddenly matter to them if an item is physical or digital now? As for as the 3DS, I can give y...
