Nobody cares about OnLive, get the over it... can't wait for it to die. Then these people will lose every game that they have bought for that service and then we will have to listen to them complain about that next.
What can I say, when you create the same game every year to make a quick buck... your bound to piss people off.
I've installed pretty much all my games to the hard-drive, and I noticed some of them for some reason preform worse when installed, I don't get it either since streaming from the hard-drive "should" be faster than streaming from the disk.
So it really doesn't make since for any of these games to preform worse on the hard-drive...

It takes years to lay new lines for better speeds and to improve the internet infrastructure... and right now the average speed is not high enough to support digital downloads and likely won't in the next 5 years or even 10 years.
But that won't matter to developers, every year games will get larger (especially with next gen right around the corner)... the infrastructure and the internet speed will not be able to keep up to still have it e...
Well think about this, by 2015 next gen will be here and it likely that your average game will be 25 to 50 GB. Games expand faster that the Internet, and by the time everyone has decent Internet gaming will be even larger and then the cycle repeats...
This is why digital will never replace retail, you typical user will not download a game if it takes longer than going to the store... and don't even get me started on streaming games, that's total crap... there is zero...
Skyrim looks great, so I'm not sure what your looking at...
You seem to think that GTA 5 is going to be huge in size (on disk) when it reality it is likely to only be slightly bigger than GTA 4 which didn't even fill up the DVD which was before MS expanded by a GB. Graphics and textures actually take up very little space... its voice and huge cutscenes that take a lot of the space on the disk. It's all in how its optimized, good developers will be able to compress...
It's funny that fanboys here want to complain about the 360 holding back Rockstar, yet we get this crap from them on the PS3, a blurry mess with worse graphics and less detail:

The truth is Rockstar knows where most of there sales come from... the 360. Like it or not there going to make sure that the 360 is the same as the PS3, if not better...
First comparing GTA 5 to LA Noire is stupid because it was the facial technology that caused it to need three disc, not the map or amount of characters or graphics, so if GTA 5 is not using it then the size wil not compare to LA Noire.
Second it will come down to compressing, and compressing games has came a long way since GTA 4... If Skyrim can be compressed to fit on one disk, chances are so can GTA 5.
So it's near impossible to tell at this point how ...
Lets see get the same old COD, or a brand new spectacular RPG filled with hundreds of hours of "NEW" game-play...

Well I have a new account, so I'm going to run through it again to get the achievements... don't care about getting 100% myself.
Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas have known issues when running on a PS3, especially Fallout 3 GOTY when it comes to constant freezing. Hopefully Skryim will work better on the PS3, but that is why I'm getting in on the Xbox 360 just to be sure.

Yea keep dreaming... the majority of sales on console are from retail. That's just asking GTA to not sell. Rockstar isn't stupid there is not chance in hell they would go digital which is still iffy compared to retail which is a sure thing.
Hmm on the PS3 I know it's like that, however on the 360 when you install the game your suppose to be installing the entire game. The disk is just needed to make sure you own the game. Considering the picture shown was for the 360 and not PS3, the entire game should only be about 4 GB technically.

What the heck was wrong with Oblivion combat system... I thought it was fine and never had an issue with it myself. Lets not judge a game when you only seen a few minutes of combat... from a "leaked" video. When you are actually playing yourself you may feel different... a video can never do a game justice.
I think people need to realize, that downloading games is not for everyone... I'm perfectly happy with my disk, and I have no desire to download anything when it would take longer than just going to get a disk from the store.
Honestly if you ask me, as technology gets better, people get lazier and want everything with as little to no work involved as possible...
