I hear that, I was looking over that list and thinking between the PS3 and the 360, I'm out almost half a grand just in exclusives, and like was stated, Wipeout HD wasn't even in there. While there are a lot of great games coming out for both systems, my wife is gonna kill me with what I am gonna want to spend on games...not to mention the BD movies I'm gonna want to buy!

for myself and 4 other friends, the other two that own a PS3 want to rent it first then decide. I have a feeling they will read about it and 1 will probably buy it after reading some reviews (given the reviews a good of course) and the other one just refuses to purchase anything without renting it first.

Personally I am really excited about the co-op. Having up to 8 players co-op is going to be very cool.

I can't say I exactly like being called a sheep, expecially from the likes of a person who obviously does not care to own a PS3 judging from your comments.

You do realize that everything you just said can easily be twisted around and put against the Microsoft empire don't you? You say people that purchase the PS3 are sheeps for following the Sony brand, what about all the people duped into purchasing a console that self destructs if the temperature around it gets above 85 degr...

Final Fantasy, Ridge Racer Type4 are just two off the top of my head, but yeah, your right, not too many multi-disc games...come to think of it, I think RR-T4 was on a single disc, but had multiple discs because it included the original arcade game as well.

I think the compression is a valid thought. You hear nothing but uncompressed audio taking up 12gig and 17gig and wonder, why not compress the audio? But I am sure when it comes down to that, they will, it just makes since...

grab the dualshock3 when you get a chance. It has a bit more heft to it so it does not feel so "cheap" and of course gives you back the rumble you have been missing. I got mine through an import off of ebay and keep the original as a spare for my friends to use when they come over.

But yeah, it took one viewing of a bd movie and I knew I made the right choice.

you 360 guys really like to dig up them bones don't ya?

As I have stated before, did it not cross you mind that while it was not a huge of a deal to loose rumble that you make it out to be, can we, as PS3 owners, not be happy to have it back? Pathetic that you have to resort to bringing that up. The only thing that was missing from your post was the 120fps quote.

From the photos, many of the PS3 shots simply look better, if you can not see that, then I am sorry...

I was thinking I was the only one to notice that. Some comments on here are saying the 360 version looks better, but to my eyes (from the screen shots) they either look identical, or in two of the screen shots, the ps3 had better color, and in the thermal, was more fluid without the color banding. I will be picking this up for the 360 however. Not because the 360 has feedback because I own a DualShock for the PS3, but because of all my friends. I enjoyed the original Vegas on the 360 and ...

My problem is now I have both the 360 and the PS3 and I have friends on both sides wondering which version I will pick up. I think the 360 is going to win this one. I simply have more friends that own a 360 over the PS3. I just hope there isn't that nasty audio glitch with this new Vegas that was present on the original 360 version...anyone else remember that, the gunfire that just won't quit. Gosh that was irratating!

When the PS3 delivers that first game that runs at 120fps what are you going to do, run out into the street and wait for a truck to hit you? There were no statements that spoke out saying the PS3 will deliver every single game to come out on it running at 120fps! Just that during its lifetime, it will be capable of running a game at 120fps. So far, the PS3 has kept its word. If you want to get into picking on a console, how about we talk about that slide show game Mass Effect? Looks like...

What, does every game have to be glowing in neon before you stop saying that? That is a pretty lame excuse of a comment. "Gee, the colors in that game don't pop off the screen like Halo3, so it must have flat colors"...Typical BS from a BS gamer! Get a clue, not every game needs or should have floresent colors.

The fact that this game currently runs at 30 frames is not a big deal. Like many have said before me, the human eye can not distinguish individual frames o...

I stand corrected. I just can't see voice over taking so much space. wierd. I read the article totally different. If you guys say it is confirmd that the 50gb of space is being used, then I say that is both cool and troubling. Only a year and a half out of the gate, and games are already filling up a 50gb disc. Sorry, that still does not sound right. I just can not believe they filled up a 50gb disc!

I am very supprised about that.

6554d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

It does not say the game uses 50gb of space, simply that it is using the 50gb disc. The last I read they were trying to get it down to use the 25gb disc so even if the game is only 26.2gb, it is going to use the 50gb disc.

"Many presumed that Kojima decided to go with a 25gb Blu-ray disc to save on costs, but it was yesterday revealed in a Konami retailers meeting that the game is the biggest of the series, and will be presented on a 50GB disc"

Still v...

And those of us who have been waiting for over a year for 'Home' to land will continue to wait. It is not a big deal. Guess what, we are still not paying for it. Sony does not 'owe' us home, they are giving it to us. You keep trying to say this and that and put the PS3 down because of this and that, but you just don't get it. The PS3 has a wonderful list of games that offer a fantastic online experiance for free! Those of us on a PS3 do not have to pay to play with our friends over a p2...

But I do prefer the blade system of XBL. Microsoft might not know how to design hardware, but they do know their software design.

The only thing I can say I do not like about Sony's XMB is the friends list. I don't know what it is, I think I just don't like the friends list sitting at the bottom of the system. The friends blade is just "cleaner"...IMHO. :)

I agree, it would be very nice if they could get the in-game features working by then, but I think that it will be summer till this hits.

As for you ChrisGTR1, what the heck are you talking about? Do you understand what lifecycle means? I am going to say 'no' by your little tyraid. Just because a new model comes out does not mean the previous model is killed (unless you are Microsoft) and in case you still don't get it, models are supposed to overlap each other. Lifecycle i...

I purchased the Vision for my 360 since I have Rainbow6 and wanted to put my mug in game...very cool btw! Then I purchased my PS3 and didn't think too much of the PS-eye. Untill I purchased Burnout. I connected my vision to the PS3 and it works great, but I have to switch back and forth with each system. I was going to purchase another vision not knowing the eye is autofocus. This article just changed my mind.

Why do you say that BD is not a viable option for data storage? There are many BD writable drives available, and the 25gig BD-R media can be had for under $9.00 a disc. DVD media was just as bad when it first came out and many people jumped on the bandwagon to go from 650meg to 4.7gig, now we are going from the dual layer 8.5gig dvd to the single layer 25gig BD. Media will get cheaper, it always does.

The early adopters are not screwed, they will still be able to play any movie released in the future, they will just not get the special menues or PIP for watching the movie with the director in a small window explaining it. Many people could care less about the special features. And if you look at it like this, by the time the 2.0 is finalized, the early adopter may be ready to upgrade their BD player. A couple of my friends always have to have the latest and greatest. They buy and sell ...

Gears of War was/is a great game, one may call it the pinicle of the 360 even though it was released during the 360's first year. It is a fantastic game...single player, co-op, online multiplayer...all are a great experiance. This is not to say that the developer can't screw things up. Look at many of the games out there that have sequals where the sequal was a mear shadow of the original.

This is going to be a purchase for me, I still play the original from time to time and...

I borrowed if from a co-worker and like the game, hate the stuttering, pop-ins, long loading screens...

Everytime you step into a elevator, expect anything from a 12sec ride while it loads the data when you are off the Citadel, when you are on the Citadel, expect those rides to take from 20 to 24 seconds! Take a transport...wait 16 seconds, move from planet to planet, wait 14 seconds.

The pop-ins are really not as bad as some people make them out to be, and I on...
