It wasn't missed so much when I only had 4 or 5 friends with a PS3, now I have over 10 and seeing them sign on while I am in a game and not being able to harrass them. I am looking forward to when Sony releases the next update to include access to the crossbar.
I showed him both the 360 and the PS3 before Christmas, and he had decided to get the 360 (most of our co-workers have a 360), but then the issues with live, and other things related with MS and he decided to pick up the PS3 this last weekend. Enjoying it greatly.

I am sure they will be using the Divx encoding to push the events to the various screens in home, but will it allow you to switch it to full screen...now that would be great, bandwidth intensive, but great!

The last 4 multiplats have shown the edge in graphics to the PS3, yet the PS3 haters out there have to make up information and blatantly lie through your teeth so you feel better for staying with the 360?
Your as bad as POG saying the PS3 is still selling less than the 360 when world wide sales show the opposite...since the end of last year.
I played the PS3 version this morning and found it quite enjoyable even though I have never played any of the original 3. ...
For instance Burnout P., both the 360 and the PS3 are identical, most of my friends are getting it on the 360, but I am going PS3 version because of the stability of the platform and the online. Ditto with Assassins Creed. XBL has left a very bitter tast in my mouth and I will probably not renew my gold acct. I can no longer justify the $50.00 per year for a service that intermittently works and is still a P2P connection. I have enjoyed the 360 greatly, but MS dropped the ball on this one...
Hmm, I guess that is why I let my friends play both systems at my house and then I tell them the truth on both systems.
It was a split decision, one was going 360 (loved Gears of War) and the other is going PS3. However, since all the problems with live, the friend choosing the 360 has decided to go with the PS3 as well. I think the BD vs HD is what changed his mind the most.
He said it best with, "Why buy the 360 when I can get the PS3 with a built in BD ...

I couldn't agree with ya more there Boot! I grabed my 60gig right as the first price drop happened and the first rumers of Sony removing the B/C from the system. I decided at that point to get the system and am still very happy with my purchase. Having the H/W compatability is nice, but am quite sure the software emulation has more than enough room to run on the PS3 infrastructure.

good for you, but for the majority of 360 owners, we are proud of our gamer score. don't be an idiot and claim it means nothing because there are many 360 owners which constatly use the achievement system as a mark against the PS3.
Secondly, to claim anyone who likes the GS is a little kid or has no life, I have a room full of 360 owners here that are 20, 30, and 40 year olds that dissagree greatly with your over generalized under thought comment!

we do not pay to go to amazon, and when the servers crash because of the network load, we all know why. We do however pay for our gold accts and XBL. And there is no reason for the continued downtime. This has been happening since Christmas, what, you think MS had to put a call into Dell to have them make up another 50 servers? Not bloody likely! And this is what we are talking about isn't it. XBL only handles our accounts.

They have that IPTV thing coming. You will need a lot of space to recorde HDTV to your PS3 and still have room for demos and game installs. One of the reasons I bumped my 60gig up to 200gig. Making room for the Linux install and using my PS3 as a DVR.

Some PS3 haters out there were claiming that the PS3 has yet to have one game pass 1mil in sales, and here we have a report showing 3 games have passed the 2mil mark...interesting I think.
The games are very worthy of the sales, but still supprised that R&C has not done better and yet to hit the million mark.
But 7 games past the 1mil mark, thats cool for a system with no games. :)

All the boxes since the Halo3 release have been the updated MB and chip. Just look at the wattage on the box, 175 = falcon, 225 = xenon.

For this type of game, seeing real world advertising just brings the realism up a notch. You are driving around a city, do you not expect to see some type of advertising, well, why not put a BK sign up, or words Yellow Book painted on the side of a big yellow bus? For me it does not distract from the game at all, but by the same token, I don't want it to the point that every time I turn a corner, there is another advertisment.
