of course you do realize that you can get a fiber card for the pc don't you?

Granted, most internal fiber cards are multimode 100mbt, but there are a couple of 1gbt fiber cards out there. Considering the story said she had 40gbt to her house as her son was experimenting with transfer protocals, it said nothing about that 40gbt going into a computer.

This is all part of a small stage to get fiber into every house, once that happens, all telco, tv, and computer wi...

Nicely done indeed. Unlike some who shall remain in the dark, your "little" piece here was more informative than the original blog. It almost seams like he is scared about home coming out...

"In fact, at this point, I would suggest delaying it (home) until the release of the PlayStation 4, and releasing it as a full, complete product that is readily available out of the box to all users. Think about it, if the service was to release this fall as a beta, when wo...

I am interested in the other two systems. Never been a Apple guy. So the Mac was hacked in under 2min, what about the other two? Anyone have info on the Linux or Vista machine? Or is this still going on?

Yes, it was down for 3 months, I own a 360 and I was not able to access ANY online services untill Mid February. Not only was I not able to get online, but because of Microsofts "wonderful" DRM, I could not access half of the content that is on my hard drive.

Sorry, but when you make a comment of...

Is this the demo of it, or is there a price to pay? If it costs, how much? Understand that I have a USA acct and wont see it for a couple more weeks.

Thanks in advance.

But the issue you are forgetting is PSN was still up and working, and the content was only delayed a couple of hours...XBL was down for like 3 months...lets see here...a couple of hours to 3 months...yeah, I see your point, we are way to picky!

of the wipeout series since the original PlayStation. Even got Wipeout Pure for the PSP. This is def going to be a purchase for me when it finally lands. For me this has always been a great game and those videos just make me anxious.

being able to video chat with 6 people at the same time unlike the 360 which is one on one? That kind of resources?

You seem like you are desperate to get people to go with the 360 side as all of your posts are pure propaganda and anti PS3.

You like to act that you know a great deal about both systems, yet it is quite obvious that you know nothing about the PS3's actual workings. You are not convincing anyone, and your comments are borderline SPAM! Maybe you a...

not to step on your toes on this one, but the maximum FAT32 table (partition) is 8tbt, not 32gbt...

Indeed, you can just unclip the hard drive from the 360, but the PS3 all you need to do is put a thumb drive in one of the USB slots, copy the game profile to it, and take the small thumb drive over to your friends house without risking you rather expensive hard drive.

Lets see here, risk a $90.00 20gig hard drive or a $180.00 120gig hard drive, or copy the game profiles over to a $15.00 thumb drive and take that over to the friends house...hmmm, yea, I'm going to use my thumb ...

I understand what you are saying, and I partly agree with you. When I upgraded from a 360 pro to a 360 elite, there was nothing I could do to save my data from the old 20gig hard drive. Luckily, one of my friends did the upgrade route and had the cable and install disc. So, no, Microsoft did not make it painless as you are implying, but if using the upgrade kit, with the cable and disc, yes, you attach the cable to the new drive, start up the 360, pop in the disc, and wait 3hrs for the sys...

just go to the system settings, choose the back up data option, this will save ALL your data and games that were downloaded, your personal settings...EVERYTHING. Back that up to a external hard drive (if you do not own one of sufficient size, then ask a friend to borrow theirs), make sure it is formatted in fat32 (this is the hard part, XP will not format in fat32, and Win2k will not format over 30gig...you will need an external program (many on the web to download) or use a WinME or even Li...

If you owned a PS3, you would know that right in the menu tree is a option to back up "ALL" data, however how many gig is on the drive and you can back it up to a external usb hard drive.

It is something that is done quite simply and in fact the most difficult part of the ordeal is formatting the external hard drive to fat32 which the PS3 and the 360 recognize.

I understand that maybe everyone might not have a spare external usb hard drive laying around...

actually, everyone has so far...a little thing called DRM! You download that movie and want to share it with a friend. Lets pretend you have a friend that lives a couple of blocks away and for whatever reason, his setup is better than yours, you can not just pop out your hard drive and take it over to his house and watch that movie you just downloaded. DRM will stop that in a heartbeat. So you say, well he can just download it over at his house...well lets say that his parents are not pay...

You guys are spouting the DDL is the next best thing to come along since sliced bread. I will say that DDL has its place, and while the 360 crowd lavashishes over their geekness, they don't understand that the PS3 does the same thing, including starting to play after only a couple of min while it is still downloading.

Problem is while the rental looks nice, and still costs the same as going down the road to BlockBuster or Movie Time, it is not the same quality. You guys are t...
