Followed your link, the only people making a big deal out of MGS4's screen res are the MS followers. What, you thought no one would actually click on your link and read the posts?
Sorry to bust it to ya bud, but many of the games already released have had updates to them to include the Trophy system. Uncharted released with it, R&C included them, MGS4 has them. I think I read somewhere that Resistance (the original) is one of the few which will not be updated to include a trophy system.

is direct external drive management. At this point you have to move your external hard drive to your computer to add/delete a dir, or format it. I would like to be able to at least set up a new external drive from scratch from the PS3's XMB without having to dig out my Win98 floppy and set it as FAT32 then format it.
I agree with him 100%. The game is near perfect and I agree with him that there could have been either some larger maps for more gameplay, or some shorter cut sceenes. This is a very epic game and am already starting from scratch a 2nd time through to take my time and scour the arenas. A 9.8 is a perfect score for MGS4. Which just goes to prove the point that GTA and Halo3 did not deserve 10's!
Here you have all these people saying that Digital Downloads are the future and that BD is not going to get off the floor, and Microsoft basicaly saying we are putting all our eggs in the one digital basket (so to say), then you have the ISP's thinking "hey, we could make a lot of money on this, lets go back to a pay-per-use system and throw a wrench into the Digital Download before it even streatches it wings.
No, he is more the instant gratification kind of gamer. He liked Uncharted, but didn't care for MGS4, (too much sneaking around and not killing anything). I told him he could go in guns blazing, but he decided to return it and grab Grid. You got to understand, that is just his gaming style.

I don't know which I would prefer then, Grid over GT5, or GT5 over Grid. I think my decision has already been made for me since my cousin does not like GT5 and loves Grid.

The thing is, I don't remember ever hearing MK outselling the other 9 games of the top 10 pooled together. I can't think of a game that has ever done that. That is just ridiculous! I will give props to the Wii and MK, but come on, out selling the rest of the top 10 games grouped together? Just put down your hate for 10min and say "good job done with MGS4"!
What I found hard to believe is MGS4 outsold the top ten selling games all put together!

That is awsum! Then you will have KZ2, another niche game, then like you say, FF drops on us. I would hate to throw #'s out on FF sales. They have always sold very well, I guess it will depend on if they get the control scheme down.

My cousin just purchased Grid on the PS3 over fathers day. Absolutely is in love with it. He rented GT5:Pro and didn't care for the way they stick you with a low class, low speed car at the very beginning and expect you to buy your way up. I guess Grid is not like that, but he did hate the damage you take. He says he has been in 1st place many a time just to get touched by a compu-racer and dropped down to last place. The 360 can play Divx files now.
Been staying up to between 3 and 5 am in the very early morning, every morning since launch. I am 18hrs into it on Act 5 and I think there are only 5 Acts. This is or has been a great game...must find time to sleep sometime.
I doubt that we will get close the the Halo3 level of sales, but I would like to see the 1st day sales #'s to see how this is moving, I would alos like to know how many bundles have sold. I just think it would be neat to know.

I feel tired
Picked it up after work last night (06/12/08) and got home a little after 9:00pm, walked through the door, gave the wife a hug and a kiss, then sat down in front of the PS3...didn't stop playing till 3:00am. The cut sceens are a bit lengthy, but are very well scripted and the voice over is very well done. So five hours into the game, I am only into the second act. This is going to be one heck of a ride.
I heard between 5 - 8 million consoles world wide! All within the first 48 hours!
I am joking of course with the above statement, but I would not be supprised if 1 million MGS4 console packages havn't already been sold considering anyplace that has sold them...Amazon, Gamestop, Walmart, Bestbuy...have all sold out within hours.
Should be interesting when actual numbers start to come in.
The Playstation Portable almost outsold the 360. What did the analists say, the PSP is past its prime and is on its way out. Looks like it it still selling well to me.
Can't touch Nintendo though.

Anyway, welcome to the club, I have noticed that the DVD up-converter has good movies and bad movies. Most are great, but there are a couple (read Astronaut Farmer) that are so bad you can barely read the text.
that you needed the new firmware 2.4 and that allowed you access to your music through the games ipod...
