you can keep those Toshiba and HP computers, I would recommend Dell and Sony built systems over those two any day of the week. So, cooke, since you are so proud of HD-DVD anyway, how many different manufactures of the device can you name? BD has a larger hardware support, as well as a larger storage capacity. You talk about PC support, fine, HD-DVD has what 51gig of storage space (Maxed) where as BD has over 100gig, (with a potential of a 200gig disc) and who do you think is going to win t...

that a lot of the 360 guys are saying that a 60 player game will not be fun, yet there are a couple like you that are saying "so, the PS3 has a 60 player game, we have a game that does 64...", sounds pretty pathetic to me. You guys need to attend more meetings so you can get your stories straight!

Have fun with that p2p connection...no wonder why so many of the PS3 haters out there are trying to bury this, they just don't know how a game with more than 10 players can...

They, the PS3 haters, keep trying to throw that in our faces, and then game information like this is confirmed by the publisher. Kind of like the publisher themselves want to cram this info down those doubters throats isn't it?

He has his head in the sand and his a$$ in the air and hoping it was a Jane and not a John that just patted him.

You really can't blaim the PS3 haters out there though, in fact you should feel sorry for them. They have their head so deep in the sand that they are missing out on some great games.

Dual storylines, Co-op, massive multiplayer, random generated playing fields, yeah, this is going to be a great title all running at 60fps. I hope they keep their colle...

because they do not use a numbered connection method for their controllers. You press a button on the console, then press a button on the controller and hope like mad they start talking with each other. The PS3 on the other hand uses Bluetooth tech and you can number each controller...1 - 7...you know, kind of like the old SCSI system for PC's.

It is this numbering system that the company is having a hissy fit over.

and has a bluetooth license. Does this mean this company is also coming after my bluetooth headset for my cell phone, or the bluetooth mouse and keyboard on my pc? What does the wii use? Is it bluetooth as well, or a different RF design?

So that is how you get so many bubbles, you post intellegnet, non-flaming, well researched information. Wow. I guess some posters around here just can't catch a clue. I swear, when I read some of their posts, I can actualy picture them foaming at the mouth as they type. A very disturbing picture I will admit.

Unfortunatly your entire post will be in vein as they will never concead to admitting what the PS3, or the Cell processor for that matter are/will be capable of.

we are getting closer and closer to the sci-fi sceens where the person touches a point on the display and it automatically zooms in around that area...in real time...that is the power that will be known as the cell baby!

How is it an old story, it was 6 days ago. In any case, who cares? If Sony paid WB to come Blu, good for them. In fact, I couldn't care if it came out that Sony blew dollars up everyones skirt to side them with Blu-Ray. Microsoft buys gaming studios all the time to get exclusivtivity (sp), I guess you have trouble with anyone else doing this? What, you bought the hype and bought into HD-DVD and now that it is going under, you are clinging to every branch, limb, twig and root and what, st...

I'm doing my part, I just showed two of my friends who were about to purchase a 360 all the trouble live has been having, and the issues with DRM when (if) their 360 ever bites it and one said "screw that, you just put me to the PS3", the other is now debaiting wether to wait till the Dualshock3 controllers are included with the PS3's, or just to buy the 80gig, sell his PS2 for a loss on ebay, and either purchase a DS3 controller from Japan, or wait till they are released in the USA...

The 40gb version can play PS1 games, just not PS2 games. No, I do not beleive the PSN will allow PS2 games for downloading.

"DVD will surfice for the main stream audience for a long time and thats where the sales will be."

So a long time is what a year or two too you? Because that is when the FCC mandate will go into effect...February '09. After that, any standard 4:3 tv set will require a set top box to receive a signal, also take that most of the major retailers are no longer selling 4:3 tv's for the 16:9 or HDTV sets. If you have ever watched a standard DVD on a HDTV, your view would...

So, do tell, what about the article did you find was ill-written? To claim something then not back it up is not only cheap, but typical of the 360 crowd.

I think the opposite, I think it was a very well written post. It was not derogatory in any regard. It was not calling MS out to the front yard to have a fist fight. The writer brings up very valid points. Not only with the current state of the live service, but also the diamond card.

So, what did you disag...

"Well another studio down. Maybe I was right? Blu ray is just better. HD will die a slow death. It's what I predicted a year ago. Now with Warner's down for the count with Blu Ray. That makes it easier for Wal-Mart to push Blu Ray. And whatever Wal-Mart pushes - wins. Hd better start giving out those $120 million dollars checks to stay alive. Maybe they can give me some so I can give it to my Make-A-Wish charity, just to shut me up. Have faith people Tra...

I was just reading this on blu-ray.com and then I come here and here is the same story...

Anyway, this is what blu-ray.com has to add...

"When Warner announced that they would back Blu-ray exclusively, there was no confirmation that New Line Cinema and HBO would follow, only speculation that it was highly likely. The very next day New Line confirmed that they would follow Warner and back Blu-ray exclusively and now, a few days after the Warner announcement, ...

Personally I think this is a pretty weak update. One un-important demo and a bunch of DLC for games no one playes. Yeah, this is one killer update...NOT! Nor do I agree that this stomps the PSN update, I would put them on par with each other...they both suck! But that is my opinion...the best thing to come out is the Red vs Blue episode.

The real question with this news is if the bribe a couple of studios took to go exclusive HD-DVD will have to be given back if they are released out of the contract early? Think about it, they know that the PS3 is going to help the BD format, but take Toshiba's $ with the clause that if market saturation gets above 80%, they can go back to neutral. So they take the money, go (red) exclusive for a couple of months, (blue) hits market saturation and they are released from the contract...Do th...
