I like some of the more exotic ones like Nyotengu, Ayane and Marie Rose. In fact, that should have probably been the theme of the set.
Sadly, Hitomi's one isn't all that great. Not awful, but it doesn't have any sense of occassion/special-ness that the others have. It could just be another ordinary outfit.
TBF Akuma is essentially playing the stand-in role of the devil in the new Tekken (the woman made a pact with the devil (i.e. Akuma) to kill Heihachi. That is, if I remember the trailer correctly).
It could have been a demonic character from any other game franchise (or even a new character) and the result would have been similar I'd imagine.
As for SFV's story mode. From what I've seen it looks like it will be little more than a token effort. Whi...
What's interesting to note here is the artwork for the PC box. My understanding is Amazon doesn't go around mocking these up on their own — they normally receive them from the publisher.
Did any of the games you mentioned have a complete looking box image for the PC versions?
Of course anyone can mock-up a box image, but my point is that the folks at Amazon have other jobs to do than making fake boxart for fabricated system entries.
You say this as if Tekken's story has only, just now, gone bat shit insane :P
Moving on, given how eclectic Tekken's cast is I'm not sure how anyone could say ANY character wouldn't fit: Making ANY character fit is Tekken's thing.
Or hey, they might not tie this into Street Fighter at all, with this Akuma being a new character, much like Soul Calibur's Yoshimitsu being largely unrelated to his Tekken counterpart.
Yeah the Elite/Pro controller syncs up with it as well from what I've read.
It's still not clear to me if you can listen to game audio through headphones via the 3.5mm headphone jack included in the newer controller revisions when using this dongle on PC.
Having a wireless controller that could do that would be really useful.
The are a few bugs and performance enhancements they can make to the PC version. I'd imagine it will be really solid after a patch or two. Gonna hold out for the paid release and hope that the port is a little more polished then.
I honestly feel Max Payne is one of those games that simply doesn't work well without a mouse. Heck, even with slo-mo powers and a super-accurate mouse the game is tough-as-nails, bordering on (IMO) being too hard in spots.
As awesome as it would be to see those games on PC (and as logical as the article's deduction is) I just can't quite believe it.
But hey, if Yakuza wants to mosey on over to the PC I'm not gonna complain :P
So... how exactly do you get a sponsorship like that in the first place? :S
It's true.
MS has played a very strong hand since launch: securing exclusives, backwards compatability, aggressively updating the system with new features, pricing competitively and so on. If you go by the book MS is doing everything right, and it's still not enough.
Sony has simply secured an assailable lead that they've not only managed to maintain, but convert into momentum.
I would have thought Bethesda would have been a good/likely spot for Kojima.
It sounds strange, I know, but Bethesda are one of those big publishers that are quite confident about putting money behind games with singular visions.
Take Wolfenstein: The New Order - could you imagine any other publisher pushing a single-player shooter with no multiplayer?
And we know from their colloboration with Shinji Mikami on The Evil Within that they are ...
Soz to reply here but I can't reply to the other comment:
"At the same time, if this game were going to be wildly successful in the west, it would be coming west regardless of the current "debate" going on in the western markets
But it's come to a point where the numbers don't justify having to deal with the fallout, and I guess Tecmo believes that their long term gains in avoiding the subject will be better served in future sales f...
None of the typical "SJW" outlets are reporting what a travesty it or loss this is. Instead pre-emptively defending that they had nothing to do with it (which they will actually believe because no one specifically campaigned for a game like this to be pulled, but social influence is social influence).
If they aren't responsible they should be as pissed as everyone else about this (albeit with a different target of contention).
Why exactly?
The end result is the same: social influence putting business choices outside of the control of the consumers numbers/wallets.
The only difference is where that social influence is instituted.
Not a fan of the sub-series as I've not played them before. But at the right price I would have considered picking it up and playing it for a few hours. Now that's a lot harder to do between the price/hassle of having to go through import channels.
But that the conditions exist that an audience is denied a game outside of economic/audience size considerations (i.e. actually valid concerns for a publisher) is ludicrous.
I could get it if western countr...
Anyone else find it funny how voice actresses, despite working with their voices rather than their image, almost always tend to be really good looking?
It's actually kind of comical.
Not surprising. Though I'd imagine it's a port of the mobile version.
There's been less than flattering opening sales figures which can be extrapolated out to get picture of relatively how well the game is doing.
If a game is floundering upon release it's safe to say it isn't going to sell that well over lifetime because games don't pick up momentum post-release.
There's every few everygreen sellers in the industry (Nintendo games being a huge exception).
Those arcade games are running on a PS3... which is being emulated here. There's no deception happening here. That is, unless, the PS3 itself was somehow emulating the 360 (which would just be silly, not to mention technically impossible).
The reason arcade games get emulation support first is simple: they tend to be less complex.
Getting the emulator working to the point where it can sucessfully replicate many of the ins-and-outs of the system (upon whic...
