I don't have any favourite character requests (though Sakura making it to complement Karin would be nice). Just want a diverse roster. And so far that's exactly what we've got.
Fewer characters but with great differentiation between them makes for a strong base, whereas variants of grapplers or shotos would be best saved for further down the line (cos it looks like they are gonna keep adding new characters progressively across the entire generation).
Making fighting game accessible is always going to be harder than most multiplayer games Street Fighter isn't team- based.
Team-based games allows for a few weak players in the mix (as well as plenty of feedback on your peformance. Even if it's harsh feedback).
With fighting games it's just you. They need to do a better job of building communities using the structure/features of the game itself.
It wasn't just Kojima that was let go though. My understanding was the entiriety of Kojima Productions is going.
He's saying sticking dragons into fantasy games is kinda generic at this point, about as generic as having bullets in an FPS game.
Choices informing the story are the hallmark of a WRPG, not a JRPG.
JRPGs typically have fewer choices but it allows for a more tightly driven narrative with better momentum than most WRPGs.
In contrast most WRPGs simply saddle you with a premise but without narrative urgency. This is done so that all the choices and sub-stories they lead to can be better compartmentalised as individual episodes that don't have much impact on the overarching narrative. <...
It was enlarged in one of the previous patches IIRC. Just not by much.
TR:2013 was a pretty easy game even on the hardest difficulty so a higher difficulty is most welcome.
Nintendo has no problem selling quality handheld software by the truck load. Nor do any of its third-party partners.
Mobile-gaming is a convenient boogeyman to pin the Vita's failure on.
Sony had years to see the explosive rise of smart phones and didn't take the necessary steps to differentiate their product - they weren't taken unaware by some tumultous market-changing force that no one could have predicted.
To be fair it's a 5% discount off an already steep price drop. I've never seen it as low as £20-ish before.
I'd be tempted to get it at that price if my graphics card wasn't being RMA'd right now.
Wow, that's incredibly fluid. Maybe more games will take advantage of this dynamic resolution scaling because the consistency of the framerate is quite impressive. Honestly, it's the kind of fluidity I was hoping G-Sync would deliver (and was subsequently disappointed to find it didn't).
They did (Faith from Mirror's Edge). So they redid her face (in Mirror's Edge: Catalyst).
The dividing line between what makes for a good face changes between regions and we've seen this on most characters including DOA5's Hitomi and even split-opinion on SFV's Ken.
But it's more important in Japan where to overall art quality for main characters is sharper/more defined whereas western videogame characters just look like ordinary peopl...
Japanese voice actors, or "seiyuu" as they are known are actually have some pretty big fandoms around them as they tend to do everything from games, anime, even their own music CDs. Some of them even blog on prominent anime/game websites giving them higher visibility.
As for why people perv over them? Well... if you are highly visible you better believe SOMEONE is perving over you.
Only a hive as devoid of empathy and understanding of the human condition as the internet would disagree. And what's disappointing is that people are tripping over themselves to express the opposite of your sentiment.
Their comments reveal more about themselves and their pettiness than saying anything about Notch.
It shouldn't need to be stated that money doesn't buy happiness. I think too many people are confusing comfortable living with happines...
TBH for all the hate the FFXIII trilogy it sold pretty damn well. As much as I hate to admit it a remaster collection feels pretty much inevitable.
Surprised Edge didn't try and spring a contrarian score on MGSV.

I wonder if part of the reason for the delay is to implement drivers that use all the features of the controller, such as the impulse triggers.
Nintendo seems to get around piracy for the most part on the 3DS. Sure, they do it by personally shouldering the costs and having to constantly update their firmware, but at least they aren't passing that cost down to their consumers.
It's really frustrating with the Vita because it's a very capable bit of hardware, and there are some games that touch upon the amazing system it could have been.
Having taken a quick look, I have to agree with you. It looks like those sections are mislabelled or something because there's no real reason for it when so many other sections favour the PS4 version in terms of clarity/visual punch.
I'm guessing a video editor somewhere is going to be getting a stern talking to.
I seem to recall a lot of people feeling TR2013 was too long. Though in truth I think it hits a pacing snag somewhere along the way, making it feel more drawn out than it really is.
Personally I felt it was the right length. It felt like a very full adventure.
