Just stop
Yeahh, we wont be getting another soon. Im just thankful we got a sequel at all
True
They are definitely coasting a bit. At this point, they have more remasters than actual new first party releases.
They gave veilguard a 9/10
How do you define quality exactly? There are games that do things better than BG3, and that do things BG3 doesnt. Too bad these games dont have health bars so we can really see.
You are going by your own idea of what a hit Bioware game is. There are people that think they havent created a hit since inquisition. Some think since Dragon Age:Origins.
Depends on what you look at in regards to bioware. I think the companions are well done, as I like them better than BG3 companions by a wide margin. Bioware still do the lore and world building well also. Even mass effect andromeda had some interesting lore teases to catch attention and make you think, like the anomaly and the benefactor of the Andromeda initiative ( Im pretty sure its Foster Addison).
They dont do the deep rpg mechanics thing anymore, but they havent do...
What does it matter.
I can see taking notes(especially in regards to the audiences interest), but I dont think they should follow Larian, as that is a bad idea. Trying to emulate them will just put Bioware in their shadow, as larian is singular in what they do. BioWare should focus on what they do that makes them stand out. Problem is they tried to do that, and people s*** all over it. The characters and your connection with them.
Bioware do have the talent(or at least did since they got gutted) , it just depends on perspective. People see bg3 having unparalleled quality due to people’s perception of quality in a game, where more games than people think have an equivalent or even higher power level. People have yet to figure out perception it seems.
Work horse doesnt have gamers with a grudge against them. Its the difference between a seeing a completely new person, versus seeing someone that has irked you for years, regardless of if it is their fault or not
Looks like even EA dont know , but it wasnt a lack of live service element I can tell you that. The hate for this game would have surpassed starfield if they made it live service.
Because the cause of the failure is not obvious, contrary to belief.
Thats why everyone is trying to do live service. The larger publishers have a hard time growing the business on single player games.
Hou are right though. Silent Hill 2 sold 2 million copies, is considered a success. W million for EA= studio closure/gutted
We dont know why it failed, and it looks like they dont either
I have too many answers, but only those of worth will get them. You ask painfully obvious questions. The game obviously did things well.
Lets not feign ignorance . If you really dont know, then start by looking at of the veilguard articles on this site, with multiple people stating the game financially failed because it was a “bad game”. Then also look at the articles mentioneing sales struggles for dragons dogma 2 and even final fantasy 7 rebirth, and take very careful notice of what people say about those games. Thats the first mission:
Chapter 1: Expose Confirmation Bias
Once you comple...
Darn, must be a pretty bad game. 😏
This audience learns nothing. They are a lost cause and will cry when the industry crashes, despite being the ones to light the fires.
“Better game” with big air quotes. What you like more, makes more sense.
