Equal versions - yes. Great game - debatable.
rofl ... "DOS, DOS ...?" I was thinking to myself. "Which RPG could he mean?"
It's funny, afterall I played Divinity: Original Sin just a few weeks ago myself. (I think I got confused by your MS-DOS reference.)
And, yes, THAT is indeed a great game. Tactical combat is top notch and good humour all around. But what I really loved about D:OS is, that the world doesn't feel staged, but very vivid. You really have to explore the landscape and...
I can't follow you, mate.
What RPG is DOS?
And is it "DOS" or "DAO", that has some of the best-designed combat, you have ever seen?
And have you been gaming since DOS - 1) the ominous RPG or 2) the Operating System?
At least for PC ... stay away for now.
The series is getting worse with every iteration imo.
But maybe it's just me and I don't understand the fun of collecting nonsense.
If someone buys a high-end PC, I would recommend to go with WiiU for diversity. PS4 and XboxOne are still too limited on exclusives. May change next year.
Fabulous case of procrastination ...
I still don't understand what the fuss is all about. It will settle, sooner or later ... and hopefully something good will come out of it.
Thanks for the input, though, Godmars.
Cheers for the info.
Jayne from Firefly? What the ... maybe I'll bother google for a synopsis of "gamersgate" sometime. lol
Wheaton sounds a bit melancholic, like "Everything was better in the old days ..."-stuff. But he makes some good points. Pretty commonsense, though. No need to read.
My 2 cents: Anonymity is a twofold sword - true. And people generally behave better in face-to-face interactions - also true. That doesn't mean that their decent behaviour reflects their real believes.
Ppl say alcohol speaks truth ... and I would add: anonymity speaks the truth. Unfortunate...
Yes, was great fun playing on PC and WiiU ... Lot of good games in a variety of genres. Especially some pearls to find, if one looks beside the mainstream of gaming industry.
All agreeable agrees;
there is a button, though ;)
Good choice of games there. I am looking forward to all of these as well.
Form me the WiiU is a perfect addition to my good old PC. Adds a lot of diversity to my gaming.
PS4 and Xbox1 need at least another year of exclusives to justify a purchase imo.
Dude, gamepad is awesome, basically. It's the main reason I got the WiiU, for it allows gaming experiences you can't get on any other machine.
The only critisisms I have is that they do not utilize it enough. ... and indeed it's not the most ergonomic design. But that goes for other controllers as well and one gets used to it.
Acutally an interesting interview and a good read.
Good you had fun with those games, but you've got a funny perception of the medieval ...
Check out Kingdom come: Deliverance. It will be a medieval themed RPG. Maybe you like it.
Diablo 3 and Dragon Age 2 is fantasy; DA2 also a lackluster game imo.
Since a lot of thw QOL products on the market are not well-engineered or too expansive, I am very pleased with that development. I expect some quality for a reasonable price from Nintendo.
Give me some biofeedback training (pulse, skin conductance, EEG, HRV) and biofeedback games and I'll throw money at you, Nintendo.
It's all coded for X86 architectures. An optimization difference is there, but shouldn't be so huge as in previous generations.
... one of the reasons they are stating is to avoid the competition. Don't know how many people foretold, that this holiday season is a bad timing for release.
They could really have made this decision earlier. (Looking at the timeframe of the WiiU-pushback.) Announcing delays shortly before release is just very "anticlimatic".
Splatoon may turn out to be more tactical than most modern shooters. Just sayin' ...
Actually, no, Loktai, it's not acceptable. Especially a lot of fans of Dragon Age: Origins, and the older Bioware RPGs in general, dislike the road they are taking with Inquisition. Imo it's more of a action-adventure game - maybe a good one in this regard. But as a crpg it's subpar in many departments.
Btw: that action oriented turn for massapeal mustn't be bad per se in a series, but it's not what a lot of people exspected of a Dragon Age & Bioware...
