Yes, it's a finishing move ...
The special attack you gain is called "Thunderwhip". Confuses enemies and has a chance to stun, if you hit the face.
But you also have a constant 2% to stumble in battle and (if you are fighting women) a 4% chance to faint.
Not worth it imo.

The problem are the "extremists" on BOTH SIDES and their black and white view of the world. Those are the people who also do the namecalling - not the many reasonable people somewhere in between. And reasonable people usually are able to find some common ground ...

It's not so much about the decision per se, but how it is implemented.
The choice of countries makes no sense (concerning Trump - maybe business sense),
communication is bad and actually feeds anti-american resentments,
and they didn't consult and prepare all the civil sevants involved.

If you get praise from ISIS and massive critic from western partners (and ambassadors and veterans and ...) - something might have gone wrong.

Thought it's about an expansion to the PC game.
But seems to be about a pen and paper RPG version of it.
The description of this news is a bit misleading tbh.
Anyway: Nice it got funded.

It baffles me as well, that you get so many disagrees and an aggressive comment for a simple question.
This place is alienating me more by the day.

On topic: I count on at least another year of strong support for 3DS. Installbase is just too big to neglect.

I've got exactly the same feeling.
The Switch fits the Japanese culture of commuting and their small living spaces perfectly. It's also pretty usual to see grown ups reading comics or playing games in public - kids even more so. I personally like that a lot, but it's different to western cultures (as far as my experience goes).

Also I am wondering, why they don't use the input of Nintendo America or Nintendo Europe - propably just gets acknowledged ...

Hello Games didn't deliver AS PROMISED - Nintendo just didn't deliver.
That's a big difference imo.

@maybelovehate

No arguing about the price - it's too steep. Subscription service is bs and launch lineup is weak except Zelda.
I am just saying that the Switch was never intended to compete as a multiplat concole. Nintendo aims at a different market with the handheld part and other "innovations". I think the concept and strategy is valid - on paper at least - the implementation is poor though.

3338d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Switch is a complementary console and a handheld hybrid.
Nobody will buy it as their solely gaming device ...

People who want to play multiplats will decide between PC or PS4 or (maybe) Xbox - and I guess latter will melt with PC anyway.

Just my two cents:
Scorpio will propably be as close to a Windows PC as it gets.
They just announced Windows Game Mode. That's what will run on Scorpio too imo, since Microsoft is all about unifying their ecosystem right now. Scorpio will play everything PC including VR (as long as you buy from their Windows/Xbox store ...). No shortage of games anyway. But no traditional console with "exclusives" either.
It's the concept of a "Steam Box"...

It's kinda sad to read the comment sections on Switch: so many people who actually were interested in the concept and would have bought one at launch, but are now hesitant. And for good reason!

Just drop the price 50$, get rid of the subscription bullshit, include a game and give us some more exclusives to look forward to: e.g. metroid. That would sell just fine ...

I am switch-off as well for launch. Propably gonna buy a PS4 instead or upgrading my g...

It's apples and oranges. One is a traditional home console, the other a mobile hybrid.
It's like comparing a desktop PC to a Laptop. You will allways have better specs on a desktop for the same price ...

That said: I find the price too steep as well. Include Zelda and the things would propably fly off the shelves.
It's those "small" decisions that add up and make or break a successfull console launch. I am myself especially pissed abo...

For me it doesn't make sense at all.
No paid online was an advantage for owning a Nintendo system and seperated them from Sony and MS.
Now they have to compete with those services. Tough sell ...

Indeed. The concept of the console is good imo (although the price is too steep). But the launch lineup is thin.
I hoped for some surprises like a full fletched Metroid game ... or streaming from PC (it's similar to a Nvidia Shield tablet after all) ... or full Android support (considering it uses an ARM processor).

3340d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

Not a miracle - just more and convincing launch titles.
But it's propably too late for that ...

why?

3340d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I am still happy they didn't go down the route of microtransactions.
That said: the asking price is indeed high. But basic interest seems to be there - so they can allways put it on sale and make some more money.

The big mistake is allways online imo.
