PS4 and XBoxOne are based on X86 architecture and are basically easy to use. That was the whole point. There is nothing all too new to learn about the hardware.
So this argument doesn't hold imo.
Usual pricingpolicy is to make the most money out of your service/games, not to get the most players using/playing it.
For example: You would need 4x more customers at 1$/hour than at 4$/an hour just to get the same revenue.
I personally find the service ridiculously overpriced. 4$ for 4hours is like paying for a demo.
Interesting thought; I never connected the decline of couch-coop to possibly lower salesnumbers.
What if you could buy time with a supermodel and a playmate (and Hefner ... dont know why you want him watching) at the store next door for 299$.
Would the possibility rise, that your intent trasfers into a purchase?
His artistic skill is mediocre - it's lean expression- and tensionwise imo. But his technical knowledge, creativity and skill seems noteworthy.
Naughty Dog will know best why they hired him. ;)
It just confirms via survey that Nintendos E3 showing was very well received.
And it actually matches the sales figures we lately see:
WiiU got stronger and is more or less on par with Xbox One sales in the moment; PS4 still leading.
It also has some interesting figures about games:
76% PS4-owners (at E3) intend to buy uncharted 4.
77% XBox-owners (at E3) intend to buy Halo.
89% WiiU-owners (at E3) intend to buy Zelda.

Good stuff!
Got me surprised, EA/Visceral ... Good move!
If you actually make it a unique experience you may get some money from me. Although I stay very sceptical, that you can pull that off, judging the Beta-gameplay ;)
PS4 and XBox basically are PCs; they are just unified.
That's why porting is so easy now.
Unified Hardware, unified OS, unified drivers ... It's a big advantage and makes it easy to develop and optimize.
Valve is coming from that direction with their SteamOS and SteamBoxes. They try to get some more standards into PC gaming.
Powerwise you get what you pay for: if you put 1000$ into your PC build you will easily outrun any console on th...
... strange statement you made.
Storycampaign for free is a good offer imo; would jump in myself, if I had enough spare time.
And I wouldn't call it dumb, if I spent some money on the game afterwards, if I genuinly enjoyed it.
Moreover plenty of gamers (espespially the younger ones) actually spent money they didnt earn themself.
Is it odd that the game stirs my imagination about what Nintendo would/could do with Kinect? All that creative possibilities ... target audience might fit better as well.
... just daydreaming.
Good concept! Like it very much.
Did you actually try any of "the other" games?
Because ppl tend to be a bit premature judging nintendo games. You might get surprised ...
(to clarify: It's just an honest question, no offense intended.)
If you exclude mobile gaming ...
WiiU is the best complement to any of the others (PS4/XBox/PC), no doubt.
I combined WiiU with a PC, because of PCs versatility. I need it for work and study.
For gaming only I would go with a PS4 instead, if I wouldn't rely on a workstation so much.
All a matter of taste, utility and value, though.
Interview sounds more reasonable, than how they usually come across. I think a lot of problems exist, because of bad or delayed communication between the studios and gamers. If they would open up a bit and explain plainly what their vision is, what they are working on, or why they cannot implement/fix certain stuff in time, ppl wouldn't be so upset all the time. I often feel not been taken serious or just plainly ignored with bugs and reasonable complaints. (Especially EA)
