"Without a new medium like Project Morpheus, there's not much more that's going to feel "new" or "next gen""
I strongly disagree. Books are out for hundreds of years - there is still fresh, creative, controversy, exciting, playfull content.
The main problem imo is, that publishers/investors are unwilling to take risks (which is understandable) and rely heavily on allready successfull formulas. Unfortunately this "cat...
I don't read the scores, but the actual reviews.
If you filter the bullshit out, you get a good overall picture of a product imo.
What they are saying is, reviewers should take their time to fully explore the game. This goes without saying for every trustworthy gaming journal.
On the other hand, ppl shouldn't buy games day one just for the hype imo. Different story, if you played the beta and liked it - naturally.
Let's see how it turns out.
It's not that they try to build a gaming PC for 380 bucks;
it's the "screw the stinkin' consoles" stuff I dislike.
No click and moving on ...
You know, I voted in that poll for WiiU, because I found their move to bring it to the WiiU very likable and bold at the same time. I would have supported them with a purchase, just to encourage other developers to give it a shot.
Unfortunately the delay disuaded me from that.
Market prediction is nothing more than wild guessing. Markets are complex systems; you can't analyse them comprehensive. Just take the housing and credit bubbles of the last decade ... no major analyst forcasted them precisely, if at all. It's just a farce.
Inside knowledge is the only way to make accurate "predictions"; basically that means stating what you allready know.
(e.g. a manufacturer getting a big order, which isn't yet officially confi...
Games are between 25% and 33% discounted. That's no bargain, but an okey offer imo.
Your assumption they would sell 5x or 10x more games with a 50% discount is unreasonable.
... indifferent, not hatefull.
I'll buy one. So good move, Nintendo.
But I understand why ppl are upset ...
Allways sucks, if you buy into something, and the next iteration comes around soon after.
Graficscards, processors ... tell me. Regreted my purchase several times.
Speak for yourself, fellow german, not for me or germans in general.
It's your narrow mind, your fear of risk, your brand obidience.
The ppl I know favor PS4, because it's the better product for a better price. Period.
They improved stability alot lately.
Else it depends on hardware/software setup alot.
In this regard I think some instabilities and crashes can be blamed on PC gamers as well. I reduced my overclocking for example - now it runs smoother and no crashing anymore.
All in all BF4 is very playable in this state and good fun imo.
People are bored, that's all.
*shrug*
Just play games you like on your console of choice, and spare your moaning.
Isn't it good enough that your wife enjoys the console? Can't believe you are complaining about "wasting" money in this regard.
Unfortunately very true. "Mine is better than yours" has so much potential for conflict ...
Japanese culture is rich, tense, contrasty and in parts incredibly sophisticated. Tribal superstition and mythtic paired with high technology and a complex moralsystem makes it hard to grasp.
There is a lot of weird stuff (not only to the western eye) going on over there, I give you that. But it is also one of the most interesting cultures I encountered till today.
A bit harsh, but sums it up pretty much ...
Why?
Releasing multiplats on the Wiiu just doesn't pay off for the publishers --- and that's okey.
Nintendo should instead encourage 3rd partys to develop unique experiences for WiiU; using for example the gamepad in creative ways for couchcoop.
Diversity and creativity is what the industry needs more than multiplats imo.
If anything it's an evolution of genre(s) - not an revolution. Throwing around catchwords a bit much ...
