You know someone has no idea about Direct X when they use it as a reason for something to be superior.

Just a heads up for anyone who wants to know what they are without spoilers. One is a beer commercial, the other is an in-game documentary on the local gangs.

Neither appear to contain any sort of spoilers, unless you care about seeing random buildings, or knowing (some of?) what gangs are in the game.

You mean the leak that rockstar confirmed was fake? Link to where they confirm it happened?

Also, I've seen the same fake spoiler being posted on 4chan over and over, so it's no surprise if it's being posted elsewhere as well.

What the fuck did I just read?

The game is NOT leaked. There was an OFFICIAL preload for PS3, that is not a leak. There is NO playable versions of GTAV available to the general public, it would be all over the place if there was a working version, and guess why it isn't? Because it doesn't exist yet.

"& multimedia stuff"

What, watch videos and play music? Surely you cannot be serious? Can you make music on PS4? Proper photo manipulation, digital drawing, 3D modelling etc?

PCs seriously aren't that much more expensive, especially when you factor in the fact that almost everyone needs/uses a PC for other things. Then factor in the part where you get MORE than a console, aren't limited to things like "yeah we don't have enough ...

Depending on how it's done it could just be a giant, compressed file that requires a key to unlock which can be sent at release day to unlock it, extract and install it. Given a theoretical length of a key, it's possible that it would take years to crack with a brute force methodology.

Many games like Diablo 3 have done similar to this and they were uncrackable prior to release.

The amount of money it would cost to port it would outweigh the money they would make. Having the option to play with kb/m would ruin it. You would have random people joining using a controller and it would totally ruin it. Forcing the player to use kb/m would be even worse and have shit all sales in results.

If you want to play a game that requires a kb/m as well as a PC for many other reasons, why not just play on PC? It's not like WoW is that demanding of a game to pla...

Simcity proved that DRM is crap. Can't imagine the amount of sales they lost, and piracy they encouraged, by placing in their DRM.

You don't realise how much there is to WoW do you? If it came to consoles you wouldn't be able to have keybinds, of which most good players have a heap of.

Couldn't imagine how crap healing 25 player raids would be as well. It just makes no sense with a controller.

That's like saying by voting against a Government you are saying you don't want law.

DRM is a heap of shit and it is harmful to gaming. Can't believe the amount of trouble I have had with GFWL just because companies wanted some extra DRM.

Framerate has diminishing returns. The jump from 30 to 60 is far greater than 60 to 120 in the same way that 15 to 30 is more noticable than 30 to 60. And once you start pushing above 60 it starts to become harder to tell a difference.

@Kennytaur

1280x1080 is nearly a box. Are you saying the game will have massive black edges, or they are going to stretch the absolute crap out of it?

Protip: Neither

According to who? Q3 isn't over, and Q2 report was 7.7 million. And by your logic, if 3 months ago it was 7.7million, it would be 7 million now.

4545d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Even though it's dropped a massive amount, 8 million subscribers isn't considered bad. There are developers that would love a one time fee from 8 million people, yet alone monthly payments.

4546d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yeah, look how bad WoW is going with subscriptions!

I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that CoD fanboys realise that others think it's the same shit, it's probably why they are saying that BF really isn't that different to BF3 either.

4546d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I think the point is flame bait, as are 90% of CoD articles. You can wrap the words in as much intelectual content as you want, but the end of the day it's still pointless bait that everyone already knows about.

30FPS is and will be the norm for an extremely long time. Why aim for 30FPS when you can add in all sorts of better lighting, shadows, particles, draw distance, textures, physics etc with the extra processing? There is a reason games that run at 60FPS on consoles are usually lacking in major areas.

Minecraft never was about making money. He made it as a personal project that he ended up making money from, it's pretty damn clear he likes making crap. Maintenance is boring, developing new things is far funner.
