More like D3LAY B3YOND.
And yes, Halo 3 is still fun and will be until Halo 4 comes out.
Personally, when I get a new console, I don't look back. I guess if there are people who have a huge PS2 library and would like to revisit some of those games every once in awhile it could be a factor, but for the most part I don't see lack of backwards compatibility hindering sales. The only thing that would slow sales is lack of a steady supply of good games coming out. Games should be a top priority for Sony right now. Yes, the Blu Ray is great, but it shouldn't be emphasized over games....
Isn't Halo Wars a strategy game? I don't think it's going to be a 1st person shooter.
How about Road Rash 2 on the Genesis? That one was awesome.
Heavenly Sword, Uncharted and R&C could all be done on the 360. I played Heavenly Sword the other day in GameStop and really wasn't impressed. Just not my style of game. Before you get upset, I'm not saying it's bad...it's just not good to me. I'm sure it's a 10 to someone else.
Regarding Halo 3, the graphics are not the best when compared to other games from this generation, but they're far from terrible. They are definitely better than Halo 2's graphics. But just like...
Why would he want to pay a huge amount of money for a system that doesn't offer many games that are not available on the 360? I mean, what great games does the PS3 offer that the 360 doesn't have right now? Maybe 1 or 2 at the most?
The PS3 looks more powerful on paper, but the proof is in the pudding. Graphically, the 360 has been outperforming the PS3. Games also have been running smoother on the 360 thus far. I'm not saying that it won't change, but so far, the 360 has ...
Yeah, ok. Forget the fact that the 360 has outperformed PS3 on almost every multiplatform game so far. Games like Oblivion, GOW, Halo 3, etc. are far from lame. In fact, if you go to almost any website that rates video games, and compare scores between the 360 and PS3, you'll see who has the superior lineup.
Now go play your mediocre games like Lair and Gundham like a good little boy.
As usual Bladestar, you make perfect sense. I can't believe that people actually think that a game that made more money than Harry Potter and Spiderman 3 did on opening day didn't move consoles.
My friend who works at GameStop has noticed a definite increase in sales leading up to Halo 3.
Wow, it looks like I'll be getting a PS3. Just kidding. Yeah it stinks for us Xbox owners if it's true, but we'll survive. These kind of things happen sometimes, like the next Splinter Cell, for instance. That's the penalty for not buying both consoles, it's inevitable that you'll miss something cool. I'm not going to cry for my 360 though, because we all know that it has the long end of the stick when it comes to exclusives.
As far as them making a game that "can't...
@Gamespot-equals-EGM - I don't see how this is a bad thing. Halo is still exclusive to Microsoft, and will only turn up on another system if a huge wad of cash is put into Microsoft's pocket.
Also, if you actually think that Gamespot, EGM, 1-Up and CNet are all "anti-ps3", then you are stupid.
This could end up being a good thing. Bungie may come up with another megahit. The important thing however is that Microsoft keeps the rights to Halo.
Thank God Microsoft owns the rights to Halo, so no Slappy, you won't see it on the DelayStation any time soon. Hopefully Epic will take it, but I think JsonHenry has a more realistic guess with Rare.
In my opinion, the Japanese have different standards for what makes a good game. I'm not saying Lair isn't good, but there has to be a reason why some people, more than a few, would label it as mediocre, and then when you look at Famitsu it gets a 9.
You're an idiot. They did it that way for a reason. Plus the 360 has something called upscalers. The game looks beautiful. People like you have a major case of sour grapes about Halo. Halo sucks, unless it could go to a Sony system, right? It never will, hate to tell you. Neither will Gears of War.
They won't stop making Halo games, because they're so profitable. Of course, Halo is Microsoft's property, so theoretically, Microsoft could let another company develop a Halo game. What company in their right mind would turn that down? It would be great to see Epic develop Halo.
No way man, Sony is making the right move to become more competitive. They should've done this a long time ago.
Why can't they be done on the 360? Are they too mediocre?
Everyone keeps saying "keep waiting, the PS3 will blow the 360 away", or "in time, the PS3 will pull away from the 360". My question is, how long will we have to wait? Whenever I look at multiplatform games that are coming out in 2008 or 2009, it seems to me there's no difference. I also have yet to see any previews for PS3 exclusives that are coming out in the next couple of years that blow away anything the 360 can do.
What I do see are a bunch of kick ...
Yeah, it's funny how every game sucks, or is "just another Xbot shooter" until it comes to Sony, then it's all of a sudden the greatest game in the world.
If you want to play Halo on your PS3, don't hold your breath.
On second thought, hold your breath.
Halo 3 was even the # 1 selling game in Japan. Now THAT'S shocking. I think it's safe to say that Halo has become a worldwide phenomenon.
