queenfury, go play your mediocre games while we play our 9's and 10's.
"All developers agreed PS3 is powerful indeed more so than Xbox..." -- While many developers would agree that the PS3 is the more powerful of the two, there are those out there whose quotes say otherwise. Many people think that the RAM in the 360 can be used more efficiently.
As of right now, the 360 is outperforming the PS3 in terms of how smooth games run, and framerate. I'm may catch up eventually, but the PS3 is not blowing the 360 out of the water like many peo...
Don't confuse craziness with good taste. The Japanese like some weird-ass games. Sorry that I don't want a bunch of bubbly, happy Jap-animated characters all over my screen, or heroes that look like they should be gracing the cover of fashion magazines. I want tough, muscular heroes that don't make me feel like a six year old when I play the game. I want shooters, and plenty of them. I want American RPG's, survival-horror, and shooter/RPG's.
Don't get me wrong, the Japan...
This could be the first generation where each company wins a territory. Maybe, but not likely. It would be interesting though. It looks like the 360 really has a pulse on what American gamers want. The PS3 doesn't even appear until #20 with Motorstorm.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again though, these charts are like stocks. They'll be up one week and down the next. I'm hoping that Microsoft can ride the Halo title wave a little longer though. I have a feeling tha...
Wow, Microsoft sure is aggressive for being a follower.
Seriously, Microsoft caters to the hardcore gamers, but what's wrong with trying to increase your fanbase? What makes them a follower? Is it because they got into the industry after the other two? I don't think that makes them a follower. Sony has been known to borrow an idea or two.
If Microsoft is investing all this money in the 360, I can't think of a good reason not to pursue audiences of all ages, c...
Don't worry. The new ones are more reliable, and the whole RROD argument won't be valid. Although they'll keep using it, because it's not like Sony fanboys can cut up on the 360's lack of quality games. Especially when it keeps pumping out games rated 9.0 or higher.
So what will the headline be when the 360 cuts its price and sales shoot up? Xbox Rox?
"but luckily the PS3 exclusives are better than 360 exclusives" -- Yeah, maybe in Bizarro World. Two words: Mass Effect. But you're right about the 360 version of games being better.
Yes, but they have to market it right. They need the right commercials, possibly ones that show the whole family having fun with a diverse group of simple, fun games. They need to air the commercials during family shows, and on Saturday morning cartoon shows. They need to make kids say "I want that" to their parents when they see it. It would also help if they showed how much more powerful it is than the Wii.
Will it replace the Wii as the lead family console? N...
Is this happening everywhere, or just amazon.com?
Yeah, if you read the article, it's actually pro-360. Yes, they talk about possible obstacles that Microsoft may have, but in the end they focus on how developers are likely to find developing for the 360 a much more attractive option then the PS3.
I don't think 360 fans will have anything to worry about. Microsoft has the funds to purchase several great exclusives a year. And I am sure that Rare isn't the last game developer it will purchase.
I'm OK with it. With the Orange Box, Mass Effect, etc., I wasn't going to get around to it for a little bit anyway. I will definitely get AO2 though, it looks awesome.
The November edition of Game Informer gave Mass Effect a 9.75. A direct quote from the article says, "every second of gameplay offers the visual quality you have come to expect from Final Fantasy cutscenes". Chalk up yet another game rated 9.0 or higher on the Xbox 360.
"Playstation3 innovator...Xbroke360 imitator" -- But the 360 was out first. I'm sure they'll all borrow ideas off of each other though. It's only a matter of time before Sony steals the "achievements" idea. I heard they might call them, get this, "entitlements". Maybe they already have them, I don't know, and could care less.
Did the PS3 innovate motion sensing in the controller? What about having a built in HDD? How about a Live service? ...
"WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM PEOPLE?????" -- You.
According to Game Informer, this is coming to both. You're only screwed out of this one if you got a Wii.
Yeah, I'm sure that a parent who knows nothing about video games and only cares about saving money will jump right from the Wii to the PS3. What about the 360 Arcade Edition? Hello?!?
This guy is definitely a moron, because "Xbox 360" and "mediocre" don't go in the same sentence. Which system has been pumping out games rated 9.0 or greater by multiple outlets on a consistent basis? Nuff said.
In a perfect world, Xbox live would be free, but what can you do? Bladestar is right, it offers so much more than the competition, and it does cost money to run. It only comes to a few bucks a month and is well worth it.
I don't know how long it will take for PSN to catch up, but once it does, then Xbox live should be free.
When prices drop, sales spike and then level off, and then the process repeats itself. We've seen it with the 360, now we're seeing it with the PS3, and eventually we'll see it with the Wii. Once each system hits $199.99, they'll really start flying off the shelves. It will be interesting to see which one wins.
@"Almighty"PS3 -- Name a game that beats Warhawk in what? Framerate? I remember COD3 being ultra-smooth, as well as most other 360 games I've played. A lot of the sports game look pretty smooth to me, I'm sure they at least match it. I have to confess that I'm not a framerate expert, at least I don't memorize the framerate of games. I do know though that most games run smoother than their PS3 counterparts.
I also know that what I said is true. Many people think ...
