Yes, let's give the customers less choice so they have to either like it or not play at all.
Seriously, taking away the competition will screw us all over in terms of pricing. The games may be just as good, since the developers will be competing for sales, but not having the choice in terms of hardware would be bad.
It would probably be part RPG and part shooter, like the upcoming Mass Effect, or Bioshock. It will probably be a candidate for Game of the Year as well.
Next gen video games are super expensive to make, so I think there will be less and less exclusives. However if I'm a developer and I want to make an exclusive, do I do it on the platform that's hardest to develop for and has the smallest install base, or do I go with the 360, with the possibility of also releasing it on Games for Windows? It's a no-brainer.
Geez, judging by SonySoldiers comment, you would think that his PS3 had a vagina.
PS3...best graphics? Not as of yet, my friend.
The picture of the guy looks better on the PS3, but the picture of the girl looks better on the 360. I definitely think they need more of the same shots for a better comparison.
EDIT: I take that back. After blowing up the screens on the real website, I noticed more jaggies on the PS3 pics, but that just might be how the pics were taken. They look virtually the same though, unless you sit and stare. I'm sure the game will look amazing as it did on the 360. Graphically, I'...
Nasim, you don't have many friends, do you?
People respect your opinions when you're more objective. The comparison pics are very close. If you would've said "I think the PS3 pics were slightly better", we wouldn't all be laughing at you.
DirtySouf, you are the one who started whining about the Ken Kutagari pic and saying to report Bloodmask to the admin. That makes you the crybaby. Who cares what pic he uses. And who cares what pic you use. Either you should both be able to use what pics you want, or there needs to be some strict rules made. Either way, it needs to be an equal policy all around.
And does anyone else think that there is something seriously not normal about counting the number of stories t...
It's funny how everyone reacts to these online sales. They're going to rise and fall each week. One week one console will win, the next a different one will. It's like the stock market.
People see the headline "XYZ Sales Plummet", and they say "Well here's the death of XYZ". For you idiots out there, XYZ represents any console.
None of the consoles are going anywhere. They'll all do big business this time around, and they'll all be more even this...
Speaking of lame arguments...When are Sony fangirls going to stop using the RROD argument? It's outdated. Microsoft addressed the problems awhile ago. Yes, very early 360's may still die eventually, but they will be replaced with reliable ones. If you go into a store, you will get one that works just fine.
Pretty soon, the PS3 will have an impressive lineup of games like the 360 does. After that happens, we'll all be arguing not over RROD's or lack of games, but what we sh...
WAIT! STOP! HOLD UP! This must've happened when I stopped playing video games for awhile but...you mean to tell me they released Street Fighter 3? When did this happen?!?
LOL, you look like Niko from GTA IV, at least in your picture!
I don't think that was the big announcement, but I'm happy to see Bionic Commando. I remember the original from when I was a little kid.
The Capcom timer is still counting down ( http://www.capcom-unity.com... ), so you PS3 fans out there still have some hope for an exclusive.
Yeah I was very happy to see that my new Samsung LCD accepts 1080P with the component cables. It looks sweet!
The 360 sure is getting a lot of games rated 9.0 or higher lately. Not just by OXM, but by multiple review outlets. It's a great time to be a 360 owner!
I'll agree that Microsoft should've built in a hard drive, as they did with Xbox 1, and should've had an optional way to ugrade it. In my opinion, if you're not into videogames enough to care about saving your progress on today's huge games, then you have no business owning a 360 or PS3 anyway. If you're that casual about it, get a friggin' Wii.
However, I can see why MS chose to have an external, optional HDD, as well as Wi-Fi. It is so they would not have to drive up the c...
I love my 40" LCD 1080P Samsung. Samsungs have a "game mode" so you don't have a ghosting effect. If you're looking to get an HDTV, head on over to Best Buy's website. Under the HDTV section, they have a lot of info. to educate you on the differences between LCD, Plasma, DLP, etc. Make sure you do your research to ensure you get the TV that you really want.
Well said ReBurn, well said!
Isn't the PS3 a stepping stone for BluRay? I'm sure both consoles play a big part in the long term strategy of each company. Microsoft and Sony both want to be the kings of your living room.
That's true, but all things aside, it doesn't take a genius to figure out the more attractive option.
