CrashSharc, all of the "Xbots" like myself are busy playing the best games on the market, while you're waiting and waiting. What would be the benefit of having Sony dominate for another generation? More mediocrity?
The only reason GameSpot gave PDZ a 9.0 is because it came out early. If it came out today, it would get a 7.0 - 8.0 most likely.
I thought Prey was a great game, I wasn't disappointed at all. I'd have to say that my biggest 360 disappointments so far were:
1) Vampire Rain - This game looked like a cross between Splinter Cell and Resident Evil. Much to my chagrin, it sucks ass.
2) Two Worlds - I loved Oblivion and was excited for this to come ou...
Thank God I'm an American. I may have to put up with a bunch of political correctness BS, but at least I can have my blood in video games.
There's no doubt that 2007 was the year of the 360. The best games of the year were on this system. Will 2008 be the year of the PS3? We'll have to wait and see. MGS4 certainly won't hurt its chances.
I think '08 will be a great year for both consoles. There are enough great games coming out on each that should satisfy their owners.
By the way...I picked up Mass Effect today, and it is AWESOME! Pick it up if you have a 360. And if you don't, go buy one. ...
Damn right it is. Thanks bro, bubbles for you. I'm actually thinking about changing my avatar soon though since I've had it for so long. But the next time Al Sharpton runs his stupid mouth and tries to get something taken off the air because it offended two people, I'll put it back on.
Really? Can you post a link to where it has been 100% confirmed?
I like how 360 haters list Halo 3, GOW, Mass Effect and a few others games, saying that's all the 360 has, and then they follow it up with a massive list of mediocrity that they call the PS3 game library. How is anyone still listing Lair? What a disappointment. Give me a break.
It's funny how many people have sour grapes because the 360 is getting so many phenomenal exclusives.
Many sources will tell you it DOES live up to the hype. I guess we will find out tomorrow. It's been getting very high scores.
I didn't bother reading the article. Uncharted is published by Sony.
There is no way in hell that it's coming to the 360, just like Gears and Ninja Gaiden II are published by Microsoft, so they won't go to PS3. Rumors like these can be easily put to rest.
There are other rumors, such as MGS4 going to the 360 or Bioshock going to PS3 which are more difficult to put to rest. Games like these aren't published by Sony or Microsoft, so there is always a chance of them show...
I'll get this game for my 360, but first I will play Mass Effect. By the time I beat that and possibly Orange Box and COD 4, they should have a patch.
That's what I was thinking. Shouldn't a 10/10 review have no complaints?
While I don't think the PS3 will be as dominant as the PS2, I think it will be fine in the end.
The PS3 is a powerful system, but the problem is that Sony says that their systems will be able to do things before they are truly sure that they'll be able to do them. Remember the jaw dropping game promos that they showed a couple of E3's ago. Remember how they were still pretty the next year, but not quite as impressive? I believe that this is where the whole "empty prom...
"Now, the tide has shifted and I'm glad "for 1" the xbox 360 is doing so well, as I am for the wii. This will ensure Sony takes drastic measures to better themselves for us, the consumer. Who wins? Every non biased gamer. Who loses? Every SLOP DONG who doesn't see both sides of the coin."
-- Very true indeed. When competition is fierce among companies, and they have to work harder to make their product more appealing to the customer, everyone wins. This a...
RPG/Shooter is definitely the coolest new game category to come along in quite some time. The best of both worlds! I'm hoping Fallout 3 will be like that too.
Since October is closer to Christmas, you'd think that it would have higher sales than September. Yet in Sept. the 360 sold almost 528,000. This proves that Halo is a system seller.
We forget that Microsoft is a new kid on the block. Sony had a huge fanbase before Microsoft entered the scene. They still do, but Microsoft has taken a big chunk of it. If they have already passed Xbox 1 sales in this short amount of time, then it shows definite growth. They will only get bigger over time.
When Sony came out with PS1, they revolutionized gaming. When Xbox came out, Microsoft didn't revolutionize anything (except for having a hard drive in a game console)....
I think that the games coming out this gen are beautiful. No complaints from me.
I think that we're only a gen or two away from games that look like real life and make you feel like you're playing a movie. Our kids, and our kid's kids will only know graphics like this. We are able to say (those in our mid to late 20's or older at least), that we've seen each gen and each stage of graphics. We should enjoy the graphics of this gen just as we have in the past and quit makin...
As long as Microsoft thinks it can dominate your living room and make a profit (which I believe the 360 is now doing if you don't count the RROD refund money), it will continue to support videogames. Microsoft has shown that it actively pursues exclusives. People forget also that Microsoft has money, money and more money. And money talks, as well as buys exclusives. Also, if I were a betting man I would bet that Microsoft hasn't acquired its last game studio.
A direct quote from the Assassin's Creed review at GameSpot.com: "There are few differences between the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. PS3 owners are blessed with a slightly more solid frame rate, although the 360 version features a little more contrast in the lighting, so it's pretty much a wash. But regardless of which platform you go with, you'll have an amazing and unforgettable game. Assassin's Creed is the kind of game you tell your friends about, and one that should be in yo...
