Because there are so many other games I want to play, I've largely ignored this title so far. However, it is looking very promising. I think I might give it a shot at some point.

It's much more ergonomically correct, and the analog stick and D-pad are where they should be, as opposed to the PS3 controller.

That's true, power doesn't equal great games, although it helps. Luckily, the 360 has plenty of power.

If the PS3 blows the 360 away eventually in terms of graphics, then congrats, but I see no evidence of this happening any time soon. I've seen the graphics for Uncharted, and R & C, etc., but I don't think that they're anything the 360 can't do. As far as impressive graphics go, I think the in-game footage from the upcoming (and by upcoming I mean in over a year) Resident Evil 5. I've seen the preview in HD on my 360, and I'm sure it looks the same on the PS3.

Dark Sector is an upcoming survival horror game. And by upcoming I mean in a year or so. It was featured in a past issue of Game Informer.
EDIT: Apparently, when I said "in a year or so", I meant it in dog years. It's coming out in early '08. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets delayed though.
I bet Jackson backed out of Halo. Maybe he thought he couldn't live up to the past success of Halo, or maybe he realized that video games are a bit different from movies. Who knows. Maybe it was over money. Of course I could be wrong.
I wasn't excited for Halo Wars anyway. Although, I have read rumors of a Halo RPG. If it was part RPG, part shooter, like Mass Effect, it could seriously kick ass, and possibly be better than the regular Halo games.

If there is one game that would make me get a PS3...this would be it. This game looks awesome! It actually looks like the control scheme is similar to Gears of War, with the way he was tumbling and taking cover. I usually prefer games like this with tactical combat over run n' gun. The graphics look beautiful and the fun factor looks high. If you're a PS3 owner and you pass this one up, then there's something wrong with you.
If you think MS paid Spike TV, then you are an idiot. As far as game lineup goes, the 360 was dominant in 2007. Those four games deserve to be nominated. Sure there were some great games like COD 4 and Uncharted that deserved to be nominated, but we're not the ones who chose the nominees, it was the people at Spike.

Nah, I think GOTY should be about any game regardless of what system. If you have to take one nominee from each system, then that cuts out more deserving candidates. If they all happen to be on one console, then so be it. Requiring them to pick only one nominee per system is the equivalent to affirmative action for video games. Instead of picking the best games, it would dumb down the choices.
I can agree with Mass Effect being nominated since reviewers have access to it. Same with Uncharted for best PS3 game. I'm surprised that COD 4 and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune weren't nominated. They both look like deserving games.

I bet that this will end up a debunked rumor in a few days. But even if not, oh well, as long as we get it eventually, with or without mods. I've never play and U.T. games. I would rather see them focus on G.O.W. 2, which will eventually overshadow this game anyway.
