In terms of impact on society and pop culture, it can't be argued that Halo 3 wins hands down. I mean, it made more money than Spiderman 3 did its opening weekend, and millions are playing at any given time on Xbox Live.

A good percentage of Wii owners are casual gamers who probably buy games on a whim without doing any research.
Funny how all of my 360 games have worked perfectly. Every game will have a glitch or two.
I bought Mass Effect on launch, and I think it is the best game to come out this year. The size of this game is unbelievable. Not only that it's incredibly fun. I have to pry myself away from it, otherwise I'd play it all day and get nothing done.
I think that most people who enjoy the Wii like the simplicity of it. There are alot of older people and young kids who probably find the controllers of the 360 and PS3 to be a little intimidating due to so many buttons.
I too think that most people get the Wii as a novelty because of the controller. The Wii severely suffers in game quality compared to the other two.

@ddldave - Go to gamerankings.com and see how badly Mass Effect "failed". A 93% rating is hardly failing. M.E. is an awesome game period. It's very hard to put down. It's also nominated for Game of the Year for the Spike video games awards, along with Halo 3, Bioshock and the Orange Box.
As far as R6V2 goes, it could be a timed exclusive. At least that's what I think is most likely. Either that or else MS ponied up to have it as an exclusive, or else the UK list...

This board has become overrun with Sony homos. You say one bad thing about Sony and you get a million disagrees and negative reviews. Maybe it's the result of the PS3 taking such a beating by the media in the first few months, who knows. I do know that you people need to lighten up.

Yeah, this game is like crack. The RPG/shooter hybrid is definitely the coolest new category of video games. I can sit and play this a lot longer per session than if it were just a regular shooter.
Totally agree. A system is only as good as its games. That is why the 360 is the choice of the hardcore gamer.
As far as the best choice for families goes, it would have to be the Wii. The PS3 and 360 are too advanced for small kids, and compared to Nintendo, they seriously lack titles rated E. However, overall, games that come out for the 360 and PS3 are of a higher quality.

What is so far-fetched about having to take back one PS3? He didn't say he was on his 6th, 5th, or even 3rd. The PS3 is a well built product, but every electronic device will have a faulty unit here and there. To call him a liar shows how much of a Fony fangirl you are.
Wow, maybe EA really does have it in for the PS3. They definitely prefer the 360. Not that I'm complaining.

This game may or may not deserve a 10, but it's a definite GOTY candidate. It's still getting a 93% on gamerankings.com, and deservedly so. Personally, I think this game is must-have. Chalk up another AAA title for the 360!

It is amazing how fast this generation is progressing. Remember some of those launch titles. Comparing them to this is like night and day.
Outdated arguments, you mean like the RROD argument? I know Sony has some great games...but you are waiting for the AAA titles like GTA and MGS4. I guess R&C is AAA, I don't know. And I was also just making the observation how some games like Lair and Uncharted don't quite get the scores that people expect. But yeah, you're right, don't those arguments on both sides get old?

The "they" you are referring to is Rockstar itself toning down Manhunt so it could get an M rating as opposed to an AO rating. If it gets an AO rating, it's screwed no matter where it goes.
That aside though, I'm pretty sure you'll see blood in Manhunt. I'll never play it though, because I hear it's mediocre at best. Gore doesn't equal great, apparently.
