Sony fans can't stand that the 360 has higher rated games.
There is truth to above statements though. A game like Uncharted deserves higher than 8. A super-crappy framerate deserves lower than a 9. The 360 has the better version of this game. Better framerate, and achievements. Maybe the PS3 will release an update eventually to help fix those framerate problems.
The graphics look incredible. Maybe too good to be true? Anyway, let's hope that these screenshots are the real deal, and aren't misleading.
It should be the war of 1812.
The 360 has the best games, period.
@zer0one - if PS3 had dominated this year instead of the 360, then you wouldn't be saying that. But in a way you're right, it's just a dopey awards show. The people who present the awards on any show don't speak for the public. Unless it's the People's Choice Awards, that is.
The awards do carry some merit, however. Not just any game wins them. Bioshock was a heavy hitter and deserved to win, as did several others.
I was considering downloading Fable to get ready for Fable 2, but I'll probably just by a used copy instead.
There's a huge article in the newest Game Informer on this game. It takes place a couple of years after GB2, and is essentially a sequel to the movies. It said in the article that they're considering calling the game Ghostbusters 3. It has all of the original actors and is being written by Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd. I believe they should call it GB3.
I think I like Mass Effect over Bioshock, but then again both are incredible games that deserve to win plenty of awards.
It was definitely the 360's year, that's for sure. Let's hope they go two in a row.
For the most part, he's right though. At the current time, 360 fans purchase more games. Look at any sales chart for confirmation. Any time a multiplatformer is released, it almost always sells more on the 360.
What would be interesting to find out though would be the install base per game ratio that PS3 and 360 owners have. Of course the 360 will sell more because of the larger install base. I wonder what percentage of PS3 and 360 owners are buying games every few weeks. ...
This one doesn't excite me too much. Then again, I've never owned any version of PlayStation. I'll only get it if I love the demo.
For those that have played DMC, is it pretty much a button masher? I hope it's more than that. I know lots of people like the storyline and characters, but what is the gameplay like?
Most of its games aren't mediocre enough. All they have to do is make a bunch of lackluster RPG's with last-gen graphics, and they'll shoot straight to number one in Japan.
I hear that Bill Gates loves WWII shooters.
Hooray! I'm SO HAPPY since WWII shooters are so extremely rare and hard to find these. They sure are smart, and they definitely know what the consumer really wants. More WWII shooters! YES!
But seriously, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOO. I'll always appreciate the previous COD games, and WWII is my favorite war to study, but enough is enough, at least for the next 10 years. What about the Vietnam War? Or the Korean War? How about the Persian Gulf war in the ear...
LOL, they had to turn to Norway to find stronger PS3 sales?!? That's hilarious!
Business-wise, it would be a HUGE risk. It would be cool, but I am not sure that the market can support four consoles. I think one would have to go, and it would most likely be Sega.
What's wrong with Ryu's feet? His body is ripped, but he has the feet of an obese person.
Freezing once every 3 to 4 days in still not acceptable. I'd try to have it repaired. It couldn't hurt to at least try .
My 360 used to get a "disc read error" a lot. They replaced the disc drive for free, and now it works perfectly. My 360 even runs at a pretty cool temperature, so I'm lucky in that aspect.
It seems with Halo 3, you either love it or hate it. I loved it, although I don't think it's as good as Mass Effect. They are two different beasts though, Halo is run and gun and a fast paced game. Mass Effect is an RPG/shooter, which is more slow and methodical, but you can play it either as a run and gun or a tactical shooter.
As far as biggest disappointment goes, I haven't had the pleasure of playing Assassin's Creed yet, so I can't comment there. I was looking forward ...
In a year with so many great AAA games released, like Halo 3, Mass Effect, and GOTY Bioshock, who can complain over a few stinkers?
