Last time I checked, HD-DVD was an optional 360 add on. The 360 will be fine with or without it.

Gears sold a million in like two or three weeks. I don't think UT3 will be as popular as GOW, but it will still do well.
Live is up and running flawlessly 99% of the time. They do a great job of running an maintaining it. The 360 won 2007 hands down, no doubt about it. The best games and the best graphics were on the 360. It didn't outsell the Wii, but as for overall quality, the 360 is the winner. Go Xbox!
@sonarus - Just like we shouldn't jump to conclusions about MGS4 coming to the 360, we shouldn't jump to conclusions about GOW3 appearing on PS3.
I would like to believe this article to be true. Maybe someday it will happen, but until then, I will believe nothing until it's confirmed by Konami. At this point, I couldn't really care. I would love to see it happen, but won't hold my breath. When it comes to great exclusives the 360 definitely has the long end of the stick by far. One AAA title eluding the 360 won't hurt that much.

Sony is a great company, however many people prefer the 360 over PS3. I didn't get the 360 for an HD-DVD player. I think DVD upconverters are the way to go right now. They are cheaper, have great picture quality, and EVERYTHING is available on DVD, as opposed to its HD counterparts. One day I will buy an HD player, maybe in the form of a PS3 after the price comes down.

The 360 hasn't seen its last spike in sales. For every price cut, you will most likely see a jump. Many people are willing to wait until consoles are older and cheaper. Look at how many people continue to buy the PS2, when they could have the superior, more powerful 360 or PS3.

I think that Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed have both sold way too much to be called "under appreciated". Assassin's Creed is the fastest selling new IP in years, and Mass Effect sold well over a million in a short amount of time.
One game that I think went largely unnoticed is The Darkness. It has great gameplay, great voice acting, and some of the best graphics I've ever seen. I hope they make a sequel.
