He predicted that the XBone would outsell PS4 when they released, then revised his prediction soon afterwards...
He's spookily correct like some kind of modern day Nostradamus (only instead of correctly predicting the future, he's extraordinarily good at 'predicting' what just happened).
@Wonderful
Ubisoft are not a developer they are a publisher. The devs made the changes (not Ubisoft).
I'm not defending anybody, I'm just stating that going by reviews and from what I've heard from people who have ACTUALLY PLAYED the new version, it is still a good game that doesn't suffer much from any changes made.
It got really bad reviews on the PS3 (around 33% average I think). The biggest problem with that version was the graphics and some gameplay elements were poorly implemented.
Some people were hoping that the extra power of the PS4 would be able to compensate for the shortcomings, but apparently not.
He should have just picked it up, walked over to the customer services desk and waited there for 5-10 mins before walking out with the console in full view.
Security guards are on the lookout for people concealing stolen items, not blatently parading around with them. You'll just look like you had an issue with your console and went back to the store to sort it.
"Messing with the whole art direction for the worse"
They obviously feel it is an improvement or they wouldn't have changed it. The developer changed it for the better (as far as they are concerned) but you don't like it. That is fair enough, but the way you say it makes it sound like they sent it to the self-destruct department to ruin their own game.
A lot of Nintendo fans are trying to downplay this port as broken because they are upset about losi...
Well it actually accomplished much more.
AMD have a much older, weaker GPU suddenly competing on equal terms with a much more powerful (and more expensive) Nvidia card.
AMD have been producing strong hardware for years, but they have been hampered by a lack of support for their tech solutions. DX12 looks as if it is going to remedy this problem for AMD and draw out the best from their hardware (about time too).
No, I haven't played the game, have you played the new version? No! Then how can you possibly comment on how the lack of something effects the gameplay?
The guy that wrote this article has played both and says it doesn't really have a detrimental effect on the gameplay.
As the only person in the equation who is qualified to make a comment about the two versions based on personal experience, I'll take his word for it rather than that of some random...
Did you read the article? They said that the removal of the second screen didn't affect the gameplay much (if at all), I don't see that as being "butchered".
The only thing missing is the local multi player game as the viewing angle and dirt overlay are merely creative decisions.
This release is a low budget attempt to counter the mistake they made by backing the 'wrong horse'. It's a budget title selling for less than a third th...
No argument from me. Their offices are close to where I live so I often see them in their hover cubes, floating towards the boardroom in the Elephants eyeball whilst vommiting ideas into their reverse motion dream discombobulating machine.
At least that is what their offices would be like if they were the architects.
Which I can play on my PC without giving a penny to MS (gotta love a pirated OS).
I would feel guilty if MS had ever made a stable OS, but they haven't and I refuse to pay for something that holds back performance.
Finally after all these decades, MS has decided that it may be a good idea to try and improve performance on PC. Good for them, I may even decide to pay for their OS now (but in true MS style it may take me a couple of decades to make that deci...
@AutoCad
I think with Titanfall people just decided it was a case of hype over content and didn't bother getting it.
@Imalwaysright
PC is a hardware market, consoles are a software market. They are very different.
A lot of people prefer to buy games and play them instantly while others like to configure and fiddle with settings for hours on end trying to get the results they feel they should have after spending $350 for that latest component.
I've been in both camps at various stages in my life and must say the experience is very different.
@Gorilla
The problem with your comment is that MS doesn't own PC's. They get nothing for selling a game on PC that Sony doesn't.
Some people seem to think that PC is a Microsoft platform, in fact they just provide the OS, bugs and instability.
The guy losses credibility when he starts to hype kinect again.
Unless you have an entry level laptop and decide you want to game on it at a later date.
How can it not be a good gauntlet game because of a lack of unlockables?
The best gauntlet game of all (the arcade game), had none either.
You have my deepest sympathies.
Every single special edition Xbox One I've seen has looked terrible, some of the PS ones look good. I suppose that means Sony wins in my eyes.
Maybe you should buy them every other year and ignore their interim releases?
The stock battery is capable of going 10-12 hours depending on the game you play.
An action game is non-stop high speed inputs, but some strategy games have very few inputs in comparison.
I can get 12 hours with Tropico 5, but only 6 with DriveClub.
