Think Octodad in the kitchen (the game purposely uses non intuitive controls to create a compelling game).
They haven't, the game is very good (and its only £15 not $40).
I've played the PS4 version and haven't experienced any of these problems.

Its been quite well advertised as far as I'm concerned. They have a featured sponsorship on the Horror Channel (in the UK) and I've seen more adverts than I usually do.

FIFA has terrible animation (looks like 1920's Pathe news reel), the ball physics are way inferior also.
I like FIFA for its presentation but it still has the 'turn diagonally in the box and beat the goalie EVERY TIME' mechanic that has ruined the game for decades.
The gameplay on PES is a lot more fluid and the game plays a lot more realistically, FIFA's presentation and atmosphere is unmatched.
