At the moment, but its still in development. It also used fxaa at the reveal, but that will be replaced by a new technique at launch.

Xbone's features are irrelevant to gaming!

It won't work like that I'm afraid, sorry to burst your bubble but even the fastest internet service in the world has too much latency to do any proper processing! It's been tried before by better people than Microsoft, this is Krazy Ken's "your toaster could give your PS3 extra power" all over again!

OMG they're desperate, how many people will believe that BS? I'm sure they'll sucker some in, but what about when they find it impossible to do anything other than a little post processing? I'm sure they will just stall for time! What Arseholes!

Yes, but they usually say that then hold back the European release for several months. If they're publishing adverts then it may just happen.

He's talking about hUMA and chip architecture not performance, in that way they are ahead of PC's as more powerful iterations are expected to be powering pc's over the next few years.

But the latency of the cloud means that there are very limited processes it can perform. At the very most it can provide free AA to the system and a little post processing work. The idea of cloud processing has been tried several times and never been successful, its M$ PR BS!

The eSRAM has nothing to do with the system bandwidth, it is only there to help with final cache and AA stuff. MS have been spinning like crazy to make it look like the eSRAM is a selling point but it is only really there to negate the slow system ram. As for latency, the per cycle latency gap is real, but its per second latency that matters, and there is virtually no difference between the two (GDDR 5 runs much faster so has more cycles per second). It is all Microsoft spin. The final bit o...

But they're not.... They've milked the gamers as much as they can and decided that it's not a big enough market for them. Even if they lose 50% of their current gamers, they figure they'll make even more money from the casual market and tech whores. It will probably outsell the PS4 because the potential user base is much bigger, its just that the vast majority won't be gamers.

Welcome to the Microsoft Money Milking Machine!

I heard that during the reveal lots of people watching through their 360's were having trouble with their kinect responding to the MS 'suit' giving commands on stage. I see a meme coming.
Just imagine 10 million Americans all watching the superbowl final through their xbone's, they go to an interview with a retired player who says " I just have one thing to say...Xbox off".
....If it catches on it would be hilarious!

There are currently 88 PS3's sold for every 360 sold in Japan, still that 1/2bn dollars they spent on NFL tie-ins should help, (oh I forgot, NOBODY outside of America watches American football). Good luck with your "infinite power of the cloud" BS!

Every single developer interviewed so far has said that the PS4 is more powerful than xb1. They also said that PS4 is more tailored towards games. They have been saying this for months (since before the PS4 reveal). They got everything else right
(including the system specs), so I tend to agree with them on this matter.

+bubble for correct usage of the word myriad... Even journalists tend to say "a myriad of" which is just plain wrong.

Yeah it was really impressive, I'm most excited by the Skype integration and the motion control for watching tv is amazing, who needs games or a system capable of playing them when they make it so easy to change the channel on your tv, after all, pushing buttons and playing games is so 'last gen'. Skype will keep me happy for months anyway before I finally get my hands on those exclusive kinnect ip's!!!

Is it just me or do those "zipper vents" look more like a line of l.e.d's ?

Sony's 2nd console sold 150 million, they got complacent and thought if they could build the best machine, all developers would naturally pick it as their lead format for multi-platform games, therefore giving them a huge advantage in game quality of cross-platform software.
By the time they arrived in the market place, Microsoft had a large user base already and the developers found it easier to develop for so Xbox became the lead format.
This time around, Nintendo believ...

Oh yes the idea of another re-hashed Mario game (~no 46 in the series) gets me really excited, imagine the vast and complex worlds you can create with 1gig of usable RAM, it will blow the past generation out of the water with its slower CPU and slightly better than PS360 gpgpu.

PS4/Xbox(infinity, Now!, 720) will be able to create rich, immersive worlds with complex physics and truly dynamic environments, really pushing gameplay to new limits, Wii U will have Mario in 1080p. ...

Even the rubbish games should be better as it's in the optimization to memory constraints that lesser devs tend to struggle, 8g reduces that problem. Nobody starts out to make a bad game.

It couldn't stand on the rounded end and if you stood it on the flat side, you'd cover the vents. This design is only possible if it stays permanently horizontally situated (which would be very unusual).
