If they wanted to they could make the PS4 version run at 900p, which would mean 45-50 fps with no further development (60 would be possible with a bit of coding).
It's strange that XBoners see having weaker hardware as a bonus.
It isn't a difficult concept, I'm sure you can grasp it if you really try hard.
It wasn't the word "dislike" that made me comment, but your complete misunderstanding of what a disagree means in this context.
X@devinealpha
It's a disagree, not a dislike there's a big difference.
If I'm not buying it on XBone, I can disagree with someone who says they are getting it for that platform without being petty or having an agenda.
It's amazing how many people don't understand what agree/disagree means.
How is not having a difficulty setting from the start "screwing gamers"?
It seems a little bit petty to make such a fuss about such a small thing.
XBox owners can't tell the difference between resolutions so the 4k PC version will look exactly the same as the XBone version to you.
@tmh
Maybe the agrees are from people who are also getting the game for the PS4 (thereby agreeing with the statement).
The disagrees for X1 and PC are down to people who don't intend to get the game on that system.
You could be right that it's all a big conspiracy, but it is far more likely that you're not.
Then stop looking at reveals and reserve your judgement for the real thing. Problem solved.
They start with target renders to show you their vision of the game. Target renders are kept within the constraints of the hardware in question, its what they intend to produce for that system.
All development encounters problems and compromises which effect the final product, its inevitable.
There is no intention to lie about the product quality from ...
"when there's people who still believe Xbox One can't play used games so they buy a PS4 - what can you do lol."
That is completely down to Microsoft's stupidity with the initial announcement.
As for your comment about PS4 has no games and sells on "word of mouth" it just shows how stupid some people are.
When was the last MS exclusive? Sony has released a steady stream all year, MS just craps out a few at Christma...
Tell me about it. I remember spending over 45 minutes loading a particular game (written in basic) on C64, only to find it didn't load and starting again (with the tape drive propped up at some strange angle).
It could easily take 2 hours to get a game to load back then.
And the Xbone isn't man enough for 1080p.
It would obviously be better than 30fps at 900p as even the XBone almost makes it at that resolution.
They have come to the conclusion that image quality is more important than framerate for this game. If the XBone ran 1080p at anything over 20-25fps they would have stuck with that resolution.
No way should they drop a great new IP for another Dragon's Dogma game or another anything.
The game looks far from dull and quite unique.
Dead Rising is nothing compared to Deep Down in my estimation. Really looking forward to this game.
P.S. If they're going to make a console exclusive, why would they waste money making another Xbox game when they have twice the potential sales on PS4?
Well I suppose it depends on the show in question. But I don't think it will work.
If its an amazing masterpiece of action TV people will want to see the next installment and it could be an incentive to play further.
On the flipside of that if the game isn't up to snuff it may seem a grind to endure to see the next episode.
Does anybody really want to watch a TV show just as they're getting into the flow of a game though?
...
Only 7% instability or less is acceptable.
To be honest I think that it varies depending on the scope of the game. A really ambitious open world game should be given less criticism than a fighting game where everything is contained in a small confined area.
7-8 hours action gaming or up to 20 hours with strategy games.
I do often play for more than 12 hours straight though.
You can buy a double capacity battery off of EBay for £4:00.
Dark Souls doesn't come into it (although it admittedly is extremely difficult by today's standards). The hardest games ever were ALL in the C64/ZX Spectrum days.
I know most of you don't go back that far but it is the truth.
@Kionic
"Lol yup and digital foundry were doubting 343 like it was impossible."
No they weren't. They reported the facts about the footage that was shown which barely managed to briefly touch 60 fps.
The really eye opening aspect of the whole thing was the fact that people were viewing the E3 footage (and even playing it) and reporting how silky smooth it was in action.
Considering that build ran at 47-55 fps wi...
That's not going to happen.
To run a low budget, no hope F1 team costs over £25 million a season, to run a top team costs £250 million plus.
The money involved in F1 is ridiculous, they aren't going to let anybody take a year out from making a licensed product for the sake of quality control or extending feature sets.
They will have strict contractual obligations to release on time every year or lose the IP.
