I would normally say that 'Company A' (Microsoft) are more interested in selling their own product than worrying about how much 'Company B' (Sony) are selling, but MS made such a big fuss about beating PS3 last gen (even though it was only in one region), that they've made a rod for their own back.
MS are not in trouble with the XB1, it is selling well, but it will never seem like a great success due to the fact that last gen they put so much emphasis on b...
" Ms would be the only ones to know physical sales as well.."
EA may have an inkling too ;-)
@Army of Darkness
Im fully aware of what your saying, but it is stupid. If you're not in the industry you don't know the ins and outs of what you're talking about. What if you don't get on with the Sony reps on a personal level? It's not much fun having to deal with people who rub you up the wrong way etc.
Just saying there's more to a business relationship than the end result. The fact is that you don't know what it's like wor...
@Xi
How would you know? They're talking from a business perspective, I'm pretty sure you've never published anything through Sony, or even been present at any meetings.
Im not being mean, just found your comment odd. No matter how closely you monitor something from an outsiders perspective, you're not going to know the ins and outs of working with one publisher or another.
OpenGL on PS4 is highly customised though (just thought I'd explain the disagrees your getting).
@ananas
Is your use of the word 'FACT' an acronym for "False And Crazy Talk" by any chance?
There isn't a single multiplat that looks/performs the same or better on the X1, they are all inferior. If you look closely you'll also see that Xbox doesn't have more games than PS4 at all (unless you use the usual Xbot trick of not counting F2P, Indy or other games to make your point).
" So can Xbone close the gap who knows?"
I do...NO!
The aces are more likely to be a new round of spin and misdirection, they've had plenty of time to think up more BS to spout on about. They can't really talk about the cloud or the more 'balanced' system etc any more, DX12 will underwhelm so they'll spin some features to make them sound unique and hand their fan army a new lie to fight about for the next few months.
" Should I continue?"
No, I'd give up if I were you.
All you've proven is that you didn't learn your lessen last gen and invent facts to make your point.
" And across the board Gamers agreed 360 had a better features and software functionality and if not that. The system was by far easier to navigate."
I must have missed that meeting as I don't remember thinking that for one second.
Yes, but both machines are capable of doing this, it's just Microsoft are making a big deal of it and their fans seem to think it's unique to their console.
@Higgins
Wow, the Ninnies are coming out of their playpen to go for a quick troll in the park. Don't see this often, they normally hide in dark corners and avoid any interaction with reality for fear of bursting their bubble.
What a brave little WiiU soldier you are, have a biscuit ;)
Most real-life Americans that I have heard/spoken to (as opposed to voice over artists/actors) have high-pitched, nasal "Kermit" style voices.
Quite the opposite of sounding 'ard' if you ask me.
I put literally hundreds of hours into this game in the eighties, both at home and in the arcade. I still have several versions kicking around somewhere.
Im not sure how well it can be updated without destroying the core gameplay that made it so addictive.
I always played as either warrior or elf, my brother always the wizard, fond memories.
I much prefer boxing games but if there aren't any available I'll pick up an MMA title. I think a good fighting game is a must for me on any platform.
A decent boxing game is an absolute must for me, I'd rather have one than any other genre if I'm honest (they have great replay value and are really good for local multiplayer match-ups with friends).
As with all good sports games, the replay value can be hundreds of times that of a story driven...
Get your equipment, be a creator rather than a consumer on this one (assuming you intend to use it in a meaningful way). Those Vita experiences will still be there at a later date, you may miss that special one-off moment without your DSLR.
That's my advice (but I am a filmmaker, so it's slightly biased).
Then again, I suppose it depends on the equipment you intend to buy and how important it is to your setup.
That's true to a degree but some of that screen tearing is really off-putting. I could live with the black-crush and low resolution but the tearing and dips below 20 f/s kill it for me.
I don't have an X1, but if I did I think I'd still get it for PC (and I don't like playing games on PC much).
Definitely looks fun though.
" there won’t be any delay in the project’s release, the date of which is still unknown."
How can you have a delay on a project with no release date? I realise that they may have a "late 2014" release window, but that's just a projected target rather than a firm release date.
For the first playthrough I generally just do as I like at the time (kind of neutral), then I have the second and third playthroughs to go fully good or evil.
Axios2, speaking as an Xbox fanboy does that gif blow your mind? By that I mean do you watch it thinking it gets downgraded then upgraded then downgraded again or have you figured out that a change in the time of day doesn't constitute a downgrade?
OT. That real-time lighting looks phenomenal.
I think it's down to Microsoft's lack of creative vision. It's safer to bank on an established IP than risk a new one. If they had more in-house studios they wouldn't have this problem.
It could be worse, at least they're giving Black Tusk a big IP to develop rather than force them to produce crap and destroy their reputation like they did with Rage.
@Pandamobile
I agree, but a lot of that is down to Microsofts' practices last gen (as I stated above).
