Look up your corporate history, it's all in the public domain. Microsoft have been found guilty of breaking several laws and were ordered to break up the company at one point until a last minute reprieve saved them.
Bill Gates famously broke down in tears at a board meeting when he was ordered to break up the company.

You really ought to have a clue before you cast aspersions.

Direct X is indeed software however since DX10 it has required hardware updates to run properly.

@kneon
I can't believe you're getting disagrees for stating a commonly known fact. Even Microsoft acknowledged the fact in order to address the problem with DX12.

Seriously Xbots are a special breed, now they're arguing with Microsoft because MS are improving their software and by doing so disrespecting the old DX.

@lolchillbro

Direct X has been lagging behind OpenGL for a while now, hopefully now Direct X will catch up a bit (funny how the 'software' company has had the weakest API, but I suppose that comes with arrogance and complacency).

P.S. you are obviously pretty clueless.

I am more concerned about what happened to proper game instruction books, like the ones you used to get in the packaging with Amiga games.
They were often 300 pages plus and used to give you far more depth into both the story and gameplay mechanics. You could have a good 2 hour read and really be in the mood for the game when you finished.

I know things have changed and there are now tutorials and in-game instructions, but you don't get nearly the same level of in...

TitanFall will sell better on the 360 and already plays better on PC, so how exactly does it 'define' XBone?

4464d ago 5 agree0 disagreeView comment

It's all down to personal preferences. I haven't seen a single exclusive game on XB1 that I want to play, let alone buy the system for (but then every good 'exclusive' on the Xbox is available on PC, so why would I)?

I think Microsoft has a bigger issue with the lack of truly exclusive exclusives if anything.

There are more Sony fans, therefore there are more Sony fans who are ignorant, more Sony fans that are intelligent, more Sony fans who know what they're talking about and more that don't.

Sony fans seem more militant and Xbox fans are far more defensive, but that's just because of the way the market has settled this gen.

Believe me, if Microsoft and Sony were in each others market position right now, the Xbox fans would be at least as obnoxious a...

And "Spring Heeled Jack", a fascinating and much overlooked legend/mystery that could add so much to the right game franchise (not sure about AC unless they press for real innovation).

Victorian London is one of the most exciting and interesting points in history, although so little of it's rich tapestry is in the mass public conscience.

Unfortunately Sony are too big a company for Microsoft to bully, threaten or commit illegal acts upon (their usual way of competing "on all levels").

This can't be denied as they have been successfully prosecuted for those very practices.

Still, I'm sure a shady company like MS has a few grey areas to exploit (and a few laws they're still comfortable with breaking), so it's not all over yet.

Thought I'd make a few corrections to improve the accuracy of your bodged points;

" Oh I know Mov... Oh Wii" .....OH EYETOY (THE ORIGINAL)

" Like Morphe...(began 2010) Ohhh Oculus...(began 2011-2012)"

No need to thank me, it's a free service.

Yeah I agree, resolutions should be at least twice the resolution of the TV you're playing on. /S

1080p 60 f/s is the holy grail of console games because that is the standard that HDTV's are set to. These stupid pointless PC morons need to think a little before they type.

Consoles are a closed system, they are defined by the mass market adoption of technology. When you hit 1080p 60f/s on a console game you can add more/better assets if...

There has been a huge migration to PS4 in the UK so far. I seriously cannot see it being outsold by the XB1.

There's a clique of tv crew in London who just play FIFA against each other (between 50-100 people). All had 360's last gen, all have PS4's now. I seriously thought they'd go XB1, but once a few bought PS4's early on, the rest followed.

Personally I think a first-person platformer (think Jumping Flash) would be amazing. Of course FPS and cockpit based games will be the mainstay, but I hope platformers don't get overlooked.

You may well have made some good points, who knows? I won't risk my vision and sanity trying to find out though.
