Absolutely loved this game on C64. It took me quite a few attempts to beat the marshmallow man, but I replayed the game again and again after completing it. Ghostbusters, Bruce Lee and Gauntlet were probably my three favourite C64 games (Werewolves of London was up there too).
I enjoyed games then even more than I do now (it's all too commercial/big business nowadays and the games aren't as much fun for me).
@Foxtrot
" Hang on...she's the creative director, so if it's differences between her and the team, especialy like the rumours claimed was with Neil then it's none of their business really."
I take it that you've never been involved with a collaborative creative project then? When creating something in this way, you all have to be singing from the same hymn book. It is extremely difficult to get a decent result when your team doesn...
@Gozer
It can take 2-4 years to produce a decent new IP, you can knock out a port in a few months. It's not a case of either/or, its about getting as much quality content on the new console as quickly as possible. If it's outsourced, it has no impact on new IP's in the slightest.
That's simply not true, you can perform maneuvers with the pad that you can't with the keyboard and mouse. You're flying a plane so you have to be able to move in every direction.
A plane uses a stick and foot pedals to maneuver, its the best way to control a real plane and that control system lends itself much better to the sticks on a pad than a keyboard and mouse (although the default settings are mapped similarly to kb/m and should be changed to gain the adva...
PS4 version is identical to the PC version (it looks and plays superbly on PS4).
It works on WarThunder, it's easier to shoot people with a mouse, but you have a lot more maneuverability with a pad. I much prefer the joypad myself, using the sticks in the simulator settings makes the experience a lot more authentic (even if I score fewer points).
If XB1 we're involved in the cross-play with PC, it would mean all three platforms playing together. That would be really cool (but I can't see Microsoft allowing it.
Same response in every article, don't you all get bored of your own whining?
This site is full of MS crybabies!
The article simply points out that Microsoft may want a unified experience across PC, Mobile and Xbox platforms allowing the use of the same apps etc.
How is that a negative?
Yet again, Xbots go into full defense mode without reading first (no offense to the Xbox One fans who behave rationally, just those knee-jerk foo...
I'm thinking along similar lines, however I did really enjoy 'A Dog's Life' which is essentially a dog simulator, so maybe.
How is providing useful information a negative? Don't be so defensive, you don't have to hate the world just because you got boned.
No, I don't have an Xbone (I'm not interested in the slightest). So you have those games on both systems and two identical TV's to watch them side-by-side?
Try using a large screen TV and tell me you can't see a difference, as for owning both, I don't believe you do at all (its funny how most people that claim to have both generally got screwed on an Xbox sale and imagine having a PS4 just to downplay it).
I've seen CoD on both, it lo...
It's like any job, prove yourself invaluable to the company and your likely to be saved from redundancy when it comes time to cut out the dead wood.
Nothing against the individuals involved, but from time to time it's necessary to streamline any department.
Maybe they could incorporate Mr Luckey's name and call it:
"FACE-PALMER"
Best put by a poster on the original article page;
" Ahahaha! They could rebrand them Nazi Rapist Goggles and it wouldn't be as unpopular as this news."
I think the hardest part is the fact that they had so much grass-root support. They were seen by most as the 'little guy' who were going to stick it to the big corporations by becoming a huge success without them.
They had almost universal support in the minds of devs and gamers alike, seen as one of those very rare uber-cool companies. In one single moment all that was destroyed.
Palmer Luckey responds;
"F@€k you all, I'm super-rich now, nah,nah,nah! "
Didn't read it then? Just thought you'd go into full defence mode again without knowing anything about which you speak again? Xbots are sooooooo dumb.
READ BEFORE COMMENTING FOOLS. You just look like idiots.
You're correct though it's a trolling article, especially this part;
" I have no doubt that all the problems I’ve mentioned will get rectified in future updates and until then I am willing to deal with the random erro...
Oculus shows great promise but $2bn worth? They seriously overpaid there. Still, if both sides are happy (especially Oculus partners I'd imagine) then so be it.
Hopefully with that level of investment it will be fast-tracked and have a better chance of market penetration.
" Why can't Rare come up with a game that's a bit like an Uncharted style game only with their back catalogue of characters instead."
Because when Microsoft smells the scent of greatness coming from the Rare 'Dungeon', they tighten the thumbscrews, open the Iron Maiden and whip them back into kinect development.
I sense that English isn't his first language (neither is reasoning by the look of it).
@Trufan1
" MSFT is the BEST software company in the world and DX is unmatched in terms of api software."
OMG, did you type that with a straight face? No dev alive believes DX is unmatched, it doesn't allow you to code close enough to the metal, it is viewed as frustrating for that reason. They are trying to address that with DX12, but only because DX was lagging way behind and they had to do something.
While Microsoft may be th...
